Her nose crinkles harder.
God, I love when she does that.
“You think this is funny?”
“A little.”
“I follow your rules.”
“Debatable.”
Her mouth falls open.
I smile.
She huffs and turns away from me.
And—
Oh.
The entire back of the dress is open.
Her hair is pinned up, leaving bare skin from the base of her neck to the low dip of ivory at her back.
I stare.
She catches me in the mirror.
“What?”
“This is the design you’ve been hiding from me?”
Her brows lift. “Evelyn designed it. I approved it.”
I walk toward her.
“She has excellent taste.”
“Obviously.”
“But she’s exposing far too much of my wife’s back.”
Elena glances over her shoulder. “My back?”
“There’s so much of it.”
Her lips twitch.
“The whole thing, Elena.”
“Oh my God, Luciano. It’s a back.”
“It’s the most perfect back in the world.”
She rolls her eyes.
“And it’s mine.”
