“That still counts.”
“It doesn’t.”
“It does emotionally.”
His hand closes around my waist.
“I want you waking in our bed without pretending you wandered into it by accident.” His voice lowers. “You’re with me now, Elena. I don’t do partial.”
Warmth spreads through my chest.
I try to contain it.
I fail.
Luciano’s brows lift. “What?”
“This is very dramatic for breakfast.”
“You started an investigation over glitter.”
“That glitter remains unexplained.”
“It came from Obsidian.”
“Which means this commitment lasts until you go back there and return covered in it again.”
Luciano laughs.
An actual laugh—low and warm and far too beautiful on him.
“When I go to Obsidian, you come with me.”
My smile fades. “Really?”
“Every time.”
“You wouldn’t mind?”
“I’ve spent months imagining you in that club.” His fingers tighten around my waist. “Why would I leave you here once you’re finally mine?”
“We can play?”
His attention changes.
“Yes, princesa. We can play.”
“Whenever you go?”
“Whenever I go.”
“No mysterious glitter?”
“If you find glitter on me, you’ll know exactly where it came from.”
“Probably me.”
“Definitely you.”
