Everyone else hears what they expect me to say and decides the rest for me. Luciano listens to the actual words.
Then he does something about them.
The list of other men is supposed to be the thing that matters.
This is just training.
Then why does it feel like I belong in this room?
I close my eyes before I can answer.
Chapter 35
Luciano
The day has been dangerous in its perfection.
I woke with Elena in my bed, warm and soft in my shirt, and tightened my arms around her just to hear the little sound she makes when she’s half-asleep and trying to move closer.
One thing led to another.
Slow, lazy morning sex with her beneath me, her fingers in my hair and my name breaking from her mouth. It felt like something I could make a habit of.
That was the first problem.
By noon, I had accumulated several more.
I fed her breakfast from my fingers. Worked with her tucked into the corner of my home office, sketching while I handled calls. Fed her lunch when she forgot to eat. Showered with her afterward and washed her hair because she let me.
Because she leaned back against my chest like my hands belonged there.
Because I’ve developed a taste for making my own life difficult.
Now she’s standing in the middle of my bedroom wearing the outfit I chose for Obsidian, and I’m reconsidering why we need to leave the house at all.
The shorts are black and glossy, clinging to her ass before ending high on her thighs. The cropped top wraps tightly around her breasts and leaves a strip of her stomach bare.
Exactly as I imagined it.
I chose well.
That’s the problem.
Elena turns in front of the mirror. The movement makes the material pull tighter across her ass.
Keeping her here would be simple.
I could take the outfit off her, put her back in my bed, and tell Kingston his exhibition will have to continue without us.
Why are we going again?
The list.
The star beside Throne’s name.
Elena needs to see him in a scene so she understands that curiosity about impact play does not make a sadist the right Dom for her. Tonight should remove his name from consideration.
Maybe that’s how I should handle the entire list.
