She goes still.
“You could’ve told me I have something on my face,” she says.
“I preferred this.”
Heat blooms across her cheeks.
“You’re being suspiciously romantic.”
“I fed you a fry.”
“With intent.”
I smirk. “Everything I do has intent.”
Her eyes search mine.
“Are you complaining?”
“No,” she says softly.
“Then have another.”
I offer her the next fry.
This time she leans forward without hesitation, takes the fry, then catches my wrist before I can pull away.
“Are we doing anything when we get home?”
My gaze drops to her fingers wrapped around me. “Anything?”
Her eyes narrow. “You know what I mean.”
I do.
“A scene,” she says. “Are we doing one?”
“Yes.”
Surprise flashes across her face before interest replaces it. “Do I get to choose?”
“You choose what you want.” I turn my hand within her grip and drag my thumb slowly across her lower lip. “I control how you receive it.”
Her breath catches.
Her fingers stay wrapped around my wrist.
“When we get home, go to my bedroom. Kneel at the foot of the bed and tell me what you’ve decided.” With my free hand, I take the last fry.
“Anything?”
“Anything you marked curious or yes.”
Her gaze drops briefly to my mouth. “That’s a lot of options.”
“You have the rest of dinner to decide.”
I watch her smile around the bite I feed her and realize I want that smile at my table tomorrow.
