“Sure. I guess.”

He settled back on the couch, kicked his shoes off, and tossed his feet up on the coffee table.

“I’m sure your grandparents taught you better than that,” I said, referring to his feet.

“They did, but this is so much more comfortable.” He sneakily wrapped an arm around me and pulled me towards him so my head rested on his chest. “And this is even more comfortable.”

He kissed my forehead and turned his attention to the game show on the screen. I briefly thought about pulling away, but then thought better of it. I would give in, at least for this one night.

I snuggled against his chest, feeling for a second as if that’s where I belonged. I didn’t dare let myself think about it further. I was falling for Ty. Or maybe I had already fallen for him, I wasn’t sure. But I was determined to just enjoy the moment. I inhaled deeply, enjoying the smell of him and then I wrapped my arms around his middle.

He kissed my forehead again and then pulled me closer. I looked up at him, trying to ignore the feel of his hard chest beneath my cheek. He was so close. It would be so easy to just reach up and kiss him.

He glanced down at me at that moment and I expected him to give me a knowing smile or to tease me, but he didn’t. Instead, he tilted my chin up and kissed me. The kiss wasn’t passionate, it was soft, gentle and when he pulled away, I wanted more. Much more.

But Ty just wrapped me in his arms and turned his attention back to the TV. I sighed against his chest, and he rubbed a hand through my hair and down my back. His hand traced my spine, up, down, and then back again.

His touch was hypnotic and I could feel myself growing sleepy. I yawned and thought to myself that I would close my eyes at least for a little while.

When I stirred again, I found Ty asleep next to me. I didn’t know what time it was. I gently extracted myself from his embrace and stared at him. He looked kind of innocent while sleeping, even though I knew the truth. He was anything but innocent, yet our evening had been. I was having contradicting feelings about that.

As if he could feel me staring, his eyes slowly opened.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hi,” I said back.

He gave me a slow, sleepy smile, and said, “How long was I asleep?”

I shrugged. “Not sure. I fell asleep too...”

He raised one brow questioningly. “Really? Are you sure you didn’t take advantage of me while I was sleeping?”

I faked innocence. “I would never do that.”

He looked disappointed. “That’s too bad.”

I laughed then and to my surprise, he pulled me in his lap. He was hard, I could feel his erection pressed against my hip. I couldn’t help myself, I pressed against it.

He let his hands trail up my shirt, raising it and began to gently stroke my back. “I’m trying to be on my best behavior, but you’re making this very very difficult.”

“Good,” I said, wanting him and not afraid of letting him know it.

I repositioned myself in his lap and began to rock my hips against his crotch. His eyes closed for a second, enjoying the feel of my motions, but then his hands stilled my hips.

“Not yet. I made a promise to you and I intend to keep it.”

“I’m pretty sure I didn’t make you promise to be celibate.”

“I’m not talking about your rules, I’m talking about my own.”

He moved to sit up and I climbed off of him and settled back on the chair and stared at him.

“Care to share those rules with me?”

He began to put his shoes on and then when he was done, he turned to me and said, “No.”

I shot him a glance of disbelief and he chuckled, bent down, and kissed me firmly on the mouth. “I’m heading out, thanks for having me over. Come lock the door behind me.”
