Nun

Okay, this was driving me up the wall. It had been five days, and I was getting pissed. The Feds had arrived and, just as Wylde said, tried a shitload of things, which all crashed and burned.

Protective custody? Nope. Not happening. Co-operate? What did they think I was fuckin’ doing? Help them catch the guy? With their track record? Not a chance.

They’d been disrespectful as soon as they learned I was in an MC. Fuck them. I’d banged a complaint through Ramona, the club’s lawyer, and would only talk to Wylde and Cassidy. While they were amused, it had caused tension. There had been a few digs aimed at Wylde, which had been shrugged off. I didn’t want to make things difficult. But I refused to co-operate with assholes.

Now I was agitated beyond belief.

I’d been imprisoned for five days, and even when I checked my bike, I had two sisters on my back. I needed my freedom, and it was being denied. As much as I shoved the emotions away, it felt like I was back at the priory, locked up and not in control of my life. I struggled to handle it, and my sisters knew.

I was on edge, ready to lose my temper, and prepared to start a brawl. Blade and I had already gone a round in the gym, and we’d beaten each other stupid. Stitch hadn’t been happy healing either of us. I was spoiling for another fight and searching for a victim.

“Come on,” Priest muttered, appearing and hauling me up.

“What?”

“Move, I’ve got a surprise.”

“I’m not allowed to leave,” I ground out.

“Sapphire said you can’t go out in public, not that you can’t leave.”

“Well, I don’t want a walk around the building,” I retorted, and Priest snorted.

“I’m more likely to take you to the pool and drown you,” he replied.

“Wow, thanks, asshole,” I snapped.

“Nun, stop stalling. Your apartment now.” Priest shoved me.

Okay, now, I was intrigued.

When I got there, Blue was waiting, appearing as confused as I was. Priest pulled his phone out and dialled a number.

“Ready?” Sparrow said, appearing on his screen.

“Not fuckin’ sure about this; however, carry on,” Priest replied with trepidation. The room flashed; I felt a pulling sensation, and then we landed hard on the floor. Blue and Priest both retched and dashed for the bathroom as I gulped in huge lungfuls of air.

I was in my dungeon.

“Christ, Sparrow!” I yelled, swallowing with difficulty. “Warn someone!”

“You’re welcome,” she chirped and hung up.

“Tell me we don’t have to return that way!” Blue complained, leaning against the door, looking weak.

“I hope not. Priest, what are you doing?”

“You can’t go out in public, so I asked Sparrow to do this instead. Sapphire thought it was a great idea because she’s ready to shoot you,” Priest responded.

“Hey, I haven’t been that bad!” I exclaimed.

Both Priest and Blue rolled their eyes.

“I’m going to make you pay for that,” I warned.

“No, tonight I’m in charge. Blue and I have discussed this, and he’s willing to try,” Priest replied.
