We both turn to see Indie walking into the kitchen. “What are you guys talking about? Sharing secrets?”
I see Donovan wince out of the corner of my eye. But Indie has her back to him, looking out the window at the back patio where the pool is.
She tsks her tongue. “I miss the river. We’re forever fooling around in that pool. There’s nothing cool to see in a pool.”
“Yeah.” I agree. “Today was fun. We all needed this day.”
Especially me. Because once she finds out I lied to her about Nathan, she’s gonna hate me. I just know it.
Donovan slaps the countertop. “I’m going to go wash up.”
“Well, I’m gonna show McKay my secret room.”
I side-eye her. “What secret room?”
She takes my hand. Winks. Smiles. “Come with me, and you’ll see.” She starts dragging me out of the kitchen and into the long foyer hallway, but instead of heading towards the stairs, she makes a right and we cross the living room. “Join us when you’re done, Donovan,” she calls over her shoulder. “We’ll wait for you. And tell Adam too.”
“What’s going on?”
She opens the door to the breezeway that leads to the unused part of the mansion and is tugging me through and down the breezeway before she answers. “You, that’s what. You and Adam. Did you have a nice romantic getaway?”
I laugh. Loud. “Is that what you think happened last night?”
“Wasn’t it?” She stops as we enter the large living room and spreads her hands wide. “Ta-da!”
“What’s all this?”
“My secret room. I needed a place for myself since Maggie stole my space.”
“Well, shit. I didn’t know you felt that way about Maggie taking your room. Why didn’t you say something?”
“There was no point. She needed that room. And we only have four bedrooms up there. Unless one of us wanted to go up to the third floor, there was nothing to discuss. And I didn’t want to be on the third floor. Do you?”
I picture the musty, hot third floor, trying to imagine it as a bedroom. “Fuck that.”
She shrugs. “So I decided to take this side of the house. Now sit. And tell me everything that happened last night.”
“What makes you think something happened?”
“Well, if it didn’t, your time is up. Because we’re doing this tonight, McKay. All of us.”
Then she places two hands on my bare chest and pushes me backwards until the back of my knees bump up against the couch. Forcing me to sit.
She climbs into my lap, straddling my legs, and then whips her tank over her head and throws it off to the side. I stare at her face as she takes both my hands and brings them up to her breasts. I can feel her heart beating fast in her chest.
She leans in close, her lips fluttering against mine. “Did you kiss him?” she whispers.
“Yeah.”
“Did you like it?”
I nod, then kiss her. She responds. And we tangle our tongues together for a moment.
“Did you do anything else?”
I picture what Adam and I did last night. His lips sealed around my cock as I stared down at him. “He sucked my dick,” I say, whispering it. “And before you ask”—I yank her bra down, fondle her breasts—“yes, I liked it.”
She leans in to my ear. Nips my earlobe and sends a shudder through my body. “Good. Because we’re gonna do it together tonight.”
