"I'll consider it," I told her. "In the meantime, I better not hear about you flirting around with any other Daddies. The only time I'm sharing you is at a playdate." She smiled as she pulled up her dress seductively, making a show out of how she pulled it up to sheath her body.

"Of course, Daddy," she said as she zipped her dress. "You're the only Daddy I have eyes for." I nodded and made my way to the door.

"As far as that contract goes," I told her as I reached for the door, "you can have someone bring it by on Monday to my office." I checked my watch and shook my head. "I've got to run." I opened the door and stopped dead in my tracks.

"Oh, I thought it was you," said Bianca's identical twin, Bernice, as she studied me. She looked past me, and she sighed and shook her head when she saw Bianca leaning on the desk. "I figured you'd be back around." I shook my head as I struggled to hide my untimely erection.

"It's not what it looks like," I protested as I stared at her. Bianca laughed and shook her head.

"Come on, little sis," she smirked as she stared Bernice down. "We've shared everything ever since we were in the womb. The least you can do is not make a big deal over sharing your ex with me." The realization hit me like a ton of bricks, and I turned to look at her.

"You planned this, didn't you?" I asked as I stared her down, and Bianca smiled innocently.

"Why would I do that?" she asked. "We're all adults here." I shook my head as I looked towards Bernice.

"Look, Bernice," I said as I looked at her, but she shook her head.

"Don't worry about it, Xavier," she said as she smiled that sweet smile I loved. "I already have you figured out, and it's okay. You've got to do exactly what makes you happy, and you deserve someone who will help you achieve that happiness. Even if it's my sister." She then walked away into the empty office, and I turned to look at Bianca.

"That was a real dick move," I told her as I shook my head. "I have to get going." She shrugged and smiled sweetly.

"I'll be waiting for that call," she said as I walked out of her office, letting the door shut behind me.

I hated the way Bianca manipulated her way into sleeping with me like that. That's what kept her from finding a Daddy. All she was is drama, and there was never a single Daddy that would stand for that.

I drove like a maniac across town to the restaurant where I was supposed to meet Derek and Skye. I was hoping Derek had brought a friend like I had instructed him to. As soon as I pulled up to the restaurant, I pulled out my phone and called Derek.

"Hey," I said when he answered on the third ring. "Are you over here already?"

CHAPTER FIVE

Stephanie

As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, we headed inside. The host accidentally gave our table away, so we waited at the bar while they set up our new table. While Skye and I talked about the promotion they had given me, Derek excused himself to take a call. Once we were alone, Skye smiled at me.

“So, do you have a boyfriend or anything?” she asked casually. I was so shocked by her answer that I nearly ended up with club soda up my nose. I coughed and shook my head.

“What?” I asked, and she laughed.

“I asked if you have a boyfriend,” she informed me as she leaned in. “Don’t tell anyone at the office, but Derek and I have been together since the fourth of July.” I raised an eyebrow at her. “Well? Do you?” I shook my head, actually embarrassed to admit the truth.

“No, actually, I don’t,” I finally admitted, feeling ashamed of the truth. She frowned at me.

“Have you ever had a boyfriend?” she asked, and I shook my head. “Why, though? You’re a total knockout!” I laughed as I sipped my club soda.

“Tell that to all the guys who picked on me in high school for not being as pretty as the other girls. I muttered unhappily as the pain of old rejections was brought up. Skye shook her head.

“Man, forget those boys,” she snapped as she stared at me. “Boys don’t know what they want in life, which makes you too good for them. You need a man who can prove to you that you’re better than all those other girls.” I was about to respond when Derek smiled and sat down next to Skye.

“I better not have heard you cuss,” he said playfully as he sat down. Skye turned and smiled at him sweetly.

“I didn’t,” she said as she grinned. “I was just telling Stephanie to forget about all the boys in her life that always went for the bigger thing when they passed over her gorgeous self.” Derek frowned as he looked at me, and I grew a little uncomfortable under his gaze.

“You’ve never had a boyfriend or anything?” he asked, and I shook my head. “Damn. I would never have guessed.” A man sat down next to him.

“Who’s never had a boyfriend?” he asked as he sat down next to Derek. He stopped when he saw me, and I suddenly felt like being invisible was a better alternative to this current situation.

Even though he was dressed in a suit, his body looked too big for it. He looked like a bodybuilder on steroids, but I could see that he wasn’t that big because of steroids. His dark blue eyes glinted in the light of the restaurant, and his sandy brown hair was combed back to match his look. He looked like he had either come from California’s sandy beaches and crystal blue waves rather than the streets of Chicago, but I wasn’t going to complain. That tan looked completely natural.
