It was different from so many other men.
Soren was genuine and respectful of her, even from the beginning.
With their gazes locked, the air crackled between them. Soren stepped forward, and she held her breath as he reached out, but instead of pulling her close and throwing her over his shoulder—not that she’d imagined this, obviously—he dragged a finger lightly down the Jenga pile.
Her heart sank. Oh yeah, the game.
Swallowing her disappointment, she watched as he stopped on a block, and her heart skipped a beat. With no warning, he pulled one of the bottom blocks out, and the Jenga pile went tumbling.
It clattered to the floor in a shattering avalanche, and she winced at the echo of it in the cabin. But then the implications of what his actions meant slammed into her.
She jerked her gaze upwards, and Soren was suddenly inches away.
“Soren, I...” Her voice was raspy, filled with desire and pure want.
Soren leaned down and stopped just short of her mouth, his eyes darting back and forth between hers.
“Truth or dare, Sunshine,” he whispered dangerously. His warmth teased her already burning skin from the proximity.
“Truth,” she murmured.
His breath was icy on her lips as his low voice dipped even lower. “Do you want me to kiss you?”
Her favorite question of the night.
