“You want to yell and blame your mother, when you are the blame too,” she mumbled as she tried to walk off.
“Fuck you just say to me, Juicy?” I asked her seriously, as she put her hand on her hip and snapped her neck with each word she spoke.
“You can’t prove nobody wrong for once? Prove your mom wrong and show her you not the monster she is making you out to be? You need to learn how to control yourself! I’m sick of this stupid ass rollercoaster with you! Calling me names just because you don’t want to hear the fucking truth! You stupid asshole!”
She walked away before I could respond. I wanted to say something, get up do something but the medicine was slowing me the fuck down. My anger was too much causing the meds to work overtime. My eyelids felt heavy, before I knew it, I was dozing off.
As soon as I woke up, murder was on my mind. I checked the time; it was about one in the morning. Walking around to check every room in my house, I quietly opened up Mattea’s bedroom door and stood there for a couple of seconds. My mom laid behind her on Mattea’s full-size bed, she rubbed through her curly mane as she hummed her to sleep. A part of me wished she would have cared more for me like that. In her mind I was insane, mental, beyond fixable. She treated me as such without even realizing how bad she was hurting me back then when I was a kid.
“Leandra, I apologize for calling you a bitch… I ain’t mean that shit.”
Nodding her head at me, she kissed Mattea on the forehead and reached her hand out for me to help her up. Once she got out the bed, she hugged me tight and kissed my forehead the same as she did Mattea. We both walked out of Mattea’s room and made our way to the kitchen.
“I will apologize to Kayori for disrespecting her. Things have been tough with everything going on.”
She made her a fresh pot of coffee with her back turned towards me.
“You need to apologize; you can stay the night. In fact, you can stay a couple of days to help around the house. I got to handle some shit.”
Turning around, she faced me with worry in her eyes.
“I don’t want you killing Michael. I thank you for stalling him out all this time. You got that look; I don’t want you harming my baby.” Her lips quivered as I smiled at her, that’s all I could offer.
“Shit happens Ma, your son violated again. He should have never approached my bitch! I’ll be putting his weak ass out of his own misery anyway. He’s a fucking dope fiend.”
Opening up my liquor cabinet, I pulled out a bottle of Remy.
“Praise Kentrell Brownston, if you kill my son… I will never speak to you again!”
“You don’t talk to me like that now, unless you want something.”
“I’m not staying here then to help do anything.”
Taking a big swig from the bottle, I checked my pockets for my keys.
“Alright, leave tomorrow, first thing in the morning. After that, stay the fuck away from me and my family.”
I walked out the kitchen without saying another word. Opening up my garage, I hopped inside my all black 1964 Chevy Impala. It was a classic, I never really drove it. The windows were limo tinted and the interior was all black with leather seats. Opening up my glove compartment, I pulled out a fresh burner phone. Calling the security that I hired to watch over Kayori and telling them to meet up with me at a particular address. I sent a text out to my own personal security to meet me there as well. They asked no questions; they would be there before me.
Cranking up my engine, I lit my blunt while I waited for my car to warm up. Reaching in the back seat I grabbed a duffle bag that contained all the items I needed for tonight. Putting on my black gloves, I opened my car door and stepped out. Taking off the clothes I had on, I replaced them with my black Levi Jeans, a black Celine hoodie, then I stepped into my all-black Timberland boots. I sat back down and tied my boots tight, looking up Kayori stood there with a sad look.
“Baby, can you come to bed?”
She stood by the garage entrance with nothing on but her Versace robe that matched the one I wore around the house. Her swollen feet were bare, and her hair was wrapped up in a scarf.
“Go in the house, Juicy. I got some shit to handle and it don’t got shit to do with you.”
“Everything you do concerns me, though. Beast, I don’t want you getting hurt. Mattea and I need you too.”
“Kayori, take your ass back in the house. You starting to piss me off, acting like you don’t know the deal with me. You know what a nigga about, you knew before you even fucked with me.”
Now I was making my way to her, getting into her personal space, I pulled her close as I held on to her tight. Staring down in her eyes, she looked down at the ground as I grabbed her chin and forced her to look at me.
“It’s only so much a nigga gon’ change for you… I stand on my respect and loyalty, when a muthafucka violates they get handled. I ain’t candy coating shit for you, you want to be in my mix so bad and know how the fuck I really get down, here it is. If you would mind your business this shit will never find its way home to you. When you poke and try to go looking for shit like now, then you hurt your own feelings Ma. Now go in the house, worry about resting up, kicking your feet up. Keep the pussy warm for me and my bed occupied until I get back.”
Before she could speak, I kissed her deeply and slapped her on the ass. I didn’t have no more time to waste so I turned my back leaving her standing there with tears in her eyes. I didn’t have a soft spot for certain shit. Right now, I craved murder. All I wanted to do was grip my gun and take a worthless life because they served their purpose. Kayori was a big girl, I loved her, but she needed to stay in her fucking lane. My lane wasn’t for her to understand. I was a street nigga, and this was what I was about if I wasn’t on no suit and tie bullshit.
Pulling out the driveway, I made sure she took her ass in the house. Nodding my head at security that stood at the front door, I peeled off.
