He hugged me, then whispered in my ear. “Also, take out the fucking IUD.”

Giggling, I nodded. “If you’re sure.”

He pulled back. “Woman, I know you’re stubborn, but get it through that thick skull that I want everything with you.”

Wiping another tear away, I whispered, “I love you so much.”

“I love you, Glenda. And I’m gonna make sure you have everything you want, and everything you deserve whether you think so or not.”

Sneak Peek!

Allie

Sneaking through the hall that led to the offices, I listened hard for any movement. The clubhouse always had someone awake. And those two fucking morons outside watching the entrances. What they didn’t watch was the back courtyard that held the pool.

They had cameras, sure, but unless someone was actively watching, I could make it out.

I was tired of being stuck at that place. My brother was a dick for taking sides with Ryan. Hammer. Whatever.

Enough time had passed that if the police were looking for me about Linny going missing or her cop ex being found killed, it would have happened already. My connections at home were dwindling with every day I wasn’t around, and who knows what shape my place was in.

When I left to head to Thunder Beach back in October, I didn’t realize I’d be trapped. I just wanted to visit my brother, hang out with the girls, maybe have some fun with a biker, or two, then go home.

Instead, shit hit the fan and what turned out me being a good friend and sister by driving Linny back to the clubhouse turned into me being basically kidnapped. Bama was the one who took the keys, but I knew he didn’t act alone.

No, that asshat Ryan probably ordered him to do it. He may be the president of the Royal Bastards in Mobile, but he wasn’t the boss of me. And it ate him up inside.

Good. He had his chance and he fucking blew it. I’d been around enough outlaws, bikers or otherwise, to know better than to trust them and they wouldn’t change. Honestly, even non-outlaw men sucked. Plus, he made his choice. It’s his problem that he has to live with it.

I had a few chances to leave before and I didn’t because I was worried about my friends. I had the keys to my SUV because they needed my help with rides. But after Glenda and I followed them to find Leigh after he got taken, they promptly took them back. No good deed goes unpunished.

By now, the SUV had been stripped of any trackers because they would have searched it after we returned from PCB. I just needed my keys and I would be gone. Bama would be mad, but he’d get over it. He always did.

I’d miss the girls but I’d be back. Just on my own terms and my own time. I was so close now. I knew better than to ask. I had to do this. I had to sneak out. I’d let Bama know once I was safely at home, but he wasn’t seeing reason and it seemed to escape everyone’s attention that I was being held hostage.

Wrapping my hand around the knob, I slowly turned it and cracked the door to Hammer's office. No sounds, no movement.

Creeping inside and pushing the door, I stealthily tiptoed over to the desk. It was silly. The floor wasn’t normal wood and wouldn't creak. Plus, Hammer had gone to bed a while ago and the rooms weren’t even near the offices.

They didn’t do much to the offices once they took over the casino. They still looked like professional business suites with large desks with dark wood, book shelves, and fancy chairs with leather and studs over the wooden arms.

Hammer hung a few pictures of members, though. He also had some of his bikes along the walls. As I started going through the drawers, I rolled my eyes at the picture on his desk of him and Jameson, the national chapter president in NOLA, shaking hands. Fucking men.

On the third drawer I opened, I saw my keychain and air pumped before grabbing them. I pushed the drawer closed and left the office, pulling the door quietly before heading towards the back hall that took you to the pool.

There were a few lights out back, but again, nobody was ever out there so I moved along the edge as discreetly as possible, trying to avoid the landscape rocks so tweedle dee and tweedle dum didn’t hear and get a leg up on me.

Poking my head around the building, only one of them was outside and he leaned against the door, his head facing up. My SUV was parked on the side and the driver’s door was facing the exit, not the door. He’d see it probably, but hopefully by the time he did, I’d be pulling away. He’d have to alert the others. By the time they were awake, I’d be on the highway heading back to Georgia.
