I smacked my lips and stood up then turned our living room TV off. “Girl whatever, Golden is wild and does what he wants. If Vina is in his path, then he will give her more dick.”

“He won’t be able too if I keep it in my mouth! Why we are on me, you lost out to Halo at Blake’s party to that new hoe.”

I rolled my eyes and went to grab my purse. “I did not lose him to that one dimple having slut. He pitted her because she was new and almost got her ass beat by Brim. I guarantee when they left together, he took her home.”

“Probable did because he’s GAY!” Aspen screamed and laughed.

I waved her off and we left together for work. Word all around was that Halo was either bisexual or gay. Now, he was a Stone, in my mind I just knew he was getting kat in middle or high school.

But he wasn’t like his brothers at all, he was reserved, but from what I heard he had another side of him if he was pushed to the limit. I do not know if that’s true, but I’d love to see Halo lose it over me. I’d never take his dick out of my mouth or my kat.

When he and his brothers first came into our dispensary a few months ago, I knew I wanted him. My whole life I always went for the more difficult directions or options. I liked to be tested, and Halo was a big test.

In the past, I have been with bisexual men and even a man who assumed he was gay because his dad was. Let’s just say that after dealing with me they weren’t confused about a damn thing. Aspen got in her car and I got into mine. It was so hot outside, but I did not want my air on just yet, so I let the back windows down.

“Hi dad.” I answered my phone when I saw who was calling me.

“Hello Dallas. Why weren’t you at Thursday dinner?”

My eyes crossed and I turned my nose up with an attitude. “Because those dinners are ridiculous and only created to irk me.”

“No, they were created because we are a family.” His stern voice was loud over my Bluetooth, so I turned it down.

“I had things to do dad, as an adult if I do not want to do something then I won’t.”

“You know what, you’re right. I’m grown too and if I want to stop taking care of you and giving you money then I will. Sounds fine to you?”

I hated it when he did this. He’d throw his money in my face as if I am not his only child and his responsibility. I had nothing to say about his threat.

“I’ll see you on Thursday six sharp.” He hung up.

“I can’t stand him!” I screamed in my car. I wanted to call him back and tell him to suck my ass.

But until I either married or got pregnant by Halo and have him take care of me. I had to zip my mouth shut and go to these ridiculous Thursday dinners. I arrived at work after Aspen because I stopped at the gas station to fill my tank up.

“Hey Dallas.” Vina and Genie, our two employees, spoke to me when I came into the dispensary.

“Hey y’all.” I spoke blank, but it wasn’t on purpose.

“You okay cousin?” Aspen asked me when I went to the back room so I could lock my purse up.

“Your uncle called.”

“I told you that you shouldn’t have skipped the dinner Thursday. You know how he is. That’s why you need to stop chasing impossible Halo. It’s a waste of time, get with Greek. He’s the oldest and responsible. If you get pregnant by him, you know damn well he will step up. You’ll never have to do anything again.”

When my purse was secured, I went to the wall mirror and fixed my hair. “I do not want Greek I want Halo. As for my dad, I don’t care about his threats. I’ll be nice and see him on Thursdays. Anyway, I’m not about to let him ruin my day. I see my man soon so and that will make me feel better.”

I stuck my tongue out and she laughed then we went back to the front of the store so we could open. Genie worked in the front of the store with the two ‘armed security guards. Genie checks IDs of the customers then buzzes them through the steel door which is where me, Aspen, and Vina work.

There were three ‘armed security guards back here with us. Our place had green and purple LED lights all around it with Neon signs on the walls. The music we played was always a vibe and we had all kinds of weed and edibles.

We were open for ten minutes and already had six customers. People did not mess around about their needs. Plus, we gave discounts, birthday price cuts and points earned when you enter your phone number and registered your email. Three hours passed, a lot of laughs with customers and finally the person I was waiting to see came in with his brothers.

“You always got them titties out. Can I suck one?” Golden wasted no time being blunt when he saw the top Vina had on.

Aspen rushed to the side where Vina was. “Go restock the front display.” She ordered Vina.

Golden noticed her unsettledness and thought it was funny.
