Greek looked at his brother while he talked then when he turned back to me. His expression seemed softer, but I wasn’t sure.

“Excuse him sugga, he a whole lunatic and protective.” Golden said after he spoke to me. There was two women sitting next to him.

“A’ight, it’s cool. My bad lil lady.”

I smiled at him, “It’s fine. Reminds me of your brother when he came into the salon and saw my sister was gone. I’m not offended.” I truly wasn’t.

The girl next to Halo cleared her throat. “I knew there was something different about your hair.” She had this ‘bitch style’ expression on her face that she tried to disguise as a smile.

“Please tell me your sister did not quit.”

The two sitting next to Golden must be her friends because they laughed extra hard at the corny joke.

“Bi—”

I cut Siren off from her words with a laugh of my own then I said.

“She won’t be quitting at all, but I’d like to give you, my card.” I passed it to her. “Next time come sit in our chair and we’ll get you together. Never come outside in a braid wig again.”

Her face turned as red as the top she had on. Halo, Greek, and Golden laughed. Siren and I did too then me and her went over to the food. I was not about to give that girl anymore of my time. Me and Siren had some of the wings then we went back to partying.

Blake and her cousins were cool to be around. I kept my distance from Halo and whoever the girl was to him. Not from fear but from me not wanting to be bothered trying to figure out what they were to each other.

I did notice that Halo wasn’t touchy to her as Golden was to his girls. Even Greek gave a few women attention that he was interested in. It was too confusing to even try and figure out. Thank God Blake opened some bottles of Grey Goose, Pinnacle and 1800.

It made things easier and turned the fun up even more. Blake suggested we go on the dance floor, and we all decided to except for Halo.

I noticed the girl, whose name I learned was Dallas, stayed back with him. Yeah, they were for sure a thing. Maybe he was bisexual, if that was the truth then we would not work just as if he was gay. It’s just not my prerogative to date a man who is bisexual.

I pushed Halo and Dallas out of my mind, and I went to go dance. As I made my way to the floor, I noticed more people came and I also saw more good-looking men. Soulja Boy-She Got a Donk came on. I think every girl in there was twerking.

I joined in and did not know who I was dancing on. Mid song, I saw Dallas stomp down the stairs like she was ticked off at something. I couldn’t see if Halo was still up there or not, but I made myself not care. After two songs Blake’s cake came out.

It was a lemon cheesecake cake, it was long, square shape and looked so good. There were sparklers lit on it and I couldn’t wait to get me a slice. I was taken back when Blake kept Siren next to her the whole time.

I just knew me and my friend’s conversation about tonight was going to be so damn good. I was a little hot and the sweetness from the cake made me want some water. After I threw my plate and fork away, I went to the bar.

“Can I get a bottle of FIJI water please.” I handed the bartender my card and she went to get what I asked for.

This night was looking good, and I was starting to love my decision even more on moving to Michigan.

“All of a sudden, she’s keeping that bitch Siren in her face. And who is that new bitch that was with them?! They must have some weird double end dildo crap going on.”

I heard all of that from behind me and it made me laugh. The two girls were the ones from earlier when me and Siren were going to the VVIP section. The one who was so mad was the one who called my friend a thirsty hoe.

With my bottle of water in my hand, I put a smile on my face and said, “My name is Story to be exact!”

My increased voice made both girls turn around. The one with the genie ponytail scanned me with her laser’ like eyes.

“I’m Shontel and your name wasn’t anything I needed to know. What’s important is who you and Siren think y’all are to Blake.”

“It doesn’t matter at all! I know what you’re not to Blake.” My laughter was something her and her friend did not like.

“You don’t know shit bitch!” Shontel spat then she came towards me more.

We started arguing and it became heated fast.

“Hol’up what the hell is going on!? Hoe get’cho ass back outta my sister face!” This full-grown man was really barking at me like I was another man.
