“Amelia, this is Lainey,” Tabitha introduced. “Amelia is our pack’s Omega and my wife of twenty years. We were together before meeting our other lovers, David and Edwin, who joined our family fifteen years ago.”
“Oh, how fascinating, so I’m not the only one who was late to join her pack,” I said, clasping my hands together, trying to contain my questions.
Amelia smiled and reached out to touch my arm. “Don’t be shy, Lainey. Having your first child is a big learning curve, so feel free to ask me anything you like.”
My jaw dropped as I looked from Amelia to my guys.
Kerian threw up his hands in defense. “I didn’t say anything.”
Amelia giggled a sweet tinkling laugh. “Oh goodness, no one had to tell me anything. I could simply tell from your scent. Having had three children, I know what that extra spice in an Omega’s scent means.”
Tabitha let out a cry of excitement before wrapping me up in a hug. “Oh, what happy news for you. God, it’s about time these men had a proper family and such a perfect woman to fit in their lives. This is all just so exciting.”
Now that the cat was out of the bag, I got hugs from all Tabitha’s packmates along with introductions. Ten more guests arrived, and my head was spinning with all the congratulations, hugs, and introductions tossed at me. When we finally sat down for dinner, it was a welcome buffer for me to collect myself. Normally, I was never one to be overwhelmed by people or situations, but then again, I’d never been the center of attention either.
Ruth outdid herself, making a blend of all our favorite foods in a masterful four-course meal. Conversations flowed easily, and I found it was easy to pick up on the topics enough to share my thoughts. Tabitha just gave me a wink as I stumped one of the gentlemen who ran a telecommunications company. He’d been having trouble with his retention in a certain department, and so I offered an out-of-the-box suggestion.
“You know that might actually work,” Carson muttered as he mulled over my idea.
“I’m telling you, this woman needs to start her own consulting firm so we can come to her with our problems and have her fix them,” Tabitha interjected. “She sees the world in a whole different light, and that’s what we need… innovation, my friends. Clearly, what we’ve been doing hasn’t worked, so time to change it up.”
To Tabitha’s point, I hadn’t really thought about what I wanted to do in the long run. Things had been so busy getting settled, and I hadn’t looked much further than that. I’d still been working at Enigma as Halstead’s executive assistant until we announced our relationship, but now I had the freedom to do what I wanted.
“Who knows, I might take your idea and run with it. That’s certainly something I could do from home as I adjust to being a mom but feel like I’m doing something for me too,” I reasoned.
“You just say the word, and we’ll do whatever you need to make that happen,” Halstead assured me. “Enigma will always have a place for you if you want it, but I know I can speak for the others when I say we want you to be happy with your choice.”
I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. “You’re spoiling me, you know.”
“Yes, and I plan to keep doing that for the rest of our lives,” he pointed out.
The table let out an audible aww, making us chuckle before returning to another topic.
“Did you hear about Reuben?” Edwin asked.
I frowned as I looked over at my Alphas. “No…”
“Seems he died two days ago, got shanked during a prison fight. Never had a chance. Whoever went after him wanted that man dead,” Edwin shared.
My brows shot up at the news. I shouldn’t be surprised the Syndicate wasn’t one to take chances, but I was surprised that it took them this long to take care of him. Either way, now I didn’t ever have to fear that man spilling my secrets or anyone else’s if Halstead’s threats on trial day hadn’t been enough.
As the plates were cleared away and dessert was brought out, a hand slowly started to work its way under my skirt. I surreptitiously glanced out of the corner of my eye at Kerian, who was happily talking to one of the guests I didn’t know. The table hid his actions, but what I hadn’t counted on was Halstead swooping in and tugging aside my panties, then stroking a finger over my pussy.
I let out a cough to cover up the gasp that I’d almost uttered. Taking a sip of my water, I set it back down, trying to minimize the slight shake as Halstead slipped his finger into me. Adjusting my seat, I spread my legs wider giving him more room, and he took advantage of it as he added a second finger. Kerian, determined not to be left out, got his finger wet from the slick pouring out of me and gave special attention to my clit.
My hands wrapped around the silverware, trying to keep seated and not let on that I was being finger-fucked by two of my lovers. A whimper slipped out as Halstead found my happy button and rubbed his thick fingers back and forth over it in an alternating pattern. Kerian must have some telepathic ability to know what Halstead was doing since he sped up his efforts, and before I knew it, I was soaring. The climax that hit me had me gasping and falling forward, knocking over my water and Kerian’s wine which landed in my lap.
“Oh shit,” someone at the table swore. “Are you okay?”
I nodded absentmindedly as I tried to clean up the mess I’d made. “Yes, I-I’m fine,” I stammered, trying to function while still in a state of haze from my orgasm.
Not to mention Halstead’s fingers were still inside me milking every last drop of this moment. Gripping the table’s edge, I closed my eyes and tried to pull it together but knew it wouldn’t happen.
“Dammit, it got all over your dress,” Kerian muttered. “Come on, let’s get you cleaned up. I suppose we should be thankful the dress is black.”
“Let me get the club soda. It should help keep it from doing more damage,” Quintin offered.
Halstead slipped his fingers from my pussy and immediately scooped me up in a bridal hold. “Can’t let you walk and drip red wine all over the place, then Ruth will be cursing us all for the next week.”
