We worked quickly to switch positions like we had plenty of times before. Mia was no stranger to what I did on the side because she often accompanied me on my bullshit. Reaching in the back, I pushed the button, and the seats popped up, revealing the secret compartment where I kept my guns. Pulling out my own rifle, I loaded the magazine and rolled down the passenger window. Mia was whipping this big bitch in reverse like the pro she was.

“Hold that shit, baby,” I said, looking through the scope and lining up my target… the nigga hanging out the sunroof.

He was so busy shooting at the truck that he didn’t pay attention to me lining him up. I squeezed the trigger and hit him right between the eyes. His body slumped, and he fell forward, dropping the gun.

“Gotcha, bitch.”

That slowed the SUV down, but didn’t stop them from coming.

“Hold on!” Mia said, whipping the truck back around.

She shifted into drive and floored the gas. I held on as she made a sharp right onto another street before dipping into an alleyway. Boxes and debris went flying as she drove like a fucking maniac. In the distance, I could hear police sirens.

“Lose them muthafuckas,” I said, as the SUV started catching up.

We swung onto another, less populated street, and she floored the gas again. When I looked back, I saw three additional SUVs behind us now. The car JacQues was in fell back, and the rest pushed forward, guns blazing.

“These muthafuckas are about to have my shit all dented up,” I mumbled.

“I’d rather it be your truck than your ass,” Mia said. “Where the fuck are the guys?!”

No sooner than she said that, I saw DaVinchi’s Hellcat coming up the road with the rest of the guys behind him. Maddie was hanging out the sunroof with her ski mask on and her gun drawn. Even with only her eyes visible, I knew she held the pissed off look only a mother could give. They were shooting at her baby, and she wasn’t having that.

Vinchi zoomed past one truck, and the next thing I saw was the nigga hanging out the window, crashing to the pavement below. His people didn’t even stop for him, just ran his ass over and kept pushing. Booker and Emmon’s SUVs zoomed past and cut us off, blocking off traffic as they came to a stop. Mia swung the car and went back in their direction. By this time, Booker’s crazy ass was out the car and popping the trunk.

“Ah shit,” I said as we rolled up behind them.

Mia and I hopped out and fell right in line with the others, raining down gunfire as DaVinchi and Maddie drove them toward us.

“I got this shit,” Booker said, moving between us. “I made a special stop to Smoke’s warehouse before we got on that jet.”

This nigga had two grenade launchers, one of which he handed to me.

“Oh, hell yeah! Baby, get down,” I told Mia as I lifted that bitch.

Once the other SUVs realized what was about to happen, they tried to stop, but Vinchi kept pushing while Maddie kept shooting. I looked at Booker, and he looked at me. With a head nod, we let off double rounds from the launcher, taking out the first two SUVs. When the engines exploded, the third truck caught fire and swerved, ramming head first into a streetlight.

As we scrambled back into the cars, Vinchi came flying through the flames and debris. All that could be heard was the sound of tires screeching as the four vehicles hightailed it down the street. We split up and made our way back toward the house.

“Now we really gotta get the fuck up outta here,” I mumbled once we were far enough away from the chaos.

“I want that nigga’s head,” Mia declared. “You’re gonna shoot at me while I’m pregnant? Fuck that!”

“Calm down, baby—”

“Don’t tell me to calm the fuck down! I want him dead!”

“And we’ll get him. Just not right now.”

“You expect me to wait five months?”

“I expect you to sit your ass down and have this baby. I’ll take care of this shit.”

She folded her arms and blew a heavy breath, mumbling under her breath. My phone rang; it was Ms. Maddie.

“We’re good, Ma,” I answered.

“What the hell happened, Titan?”
