“Remind me to do something unspeakable to Frederick later,” Blake muttered.

“Okay.”

Frederick showed Maletayah the old training ground.

“Along with the new training grounds, we use this one as well.”

Frederick laughed when he saw both Blake and Nick doing push-ups.

“Looks like Blake and Nick are in trouble. The lady taking the training is Martha Hayes, Blake’s mother.”

Maletayah watched Martha’s demonstration. “Her form is perfect.”

Frederick nodded. “It is. Plus, she doesn’t go easy on anyone.”

“It’s good you train in both human and shifter forms,” Maletayah said.

“It is. We need to know how to fight in any form. The gargoyles are also teaching those that need it sword fighting, as no one is better with a sword than gargoyles.”

Maletayah laughed. “Unless it’s a warrior angel. I think you’ll find we are the best with swords.”

“We’ll have to get you and your team training with the gargoyles and see if that’s true,” Frederick said, grinning at him.

“Maletayah,” a voice called from behind.

They both turned and saw Baylan striding towards them, a big smile on his face.

Maletayah smiled. “Baylan, my friend, how are you?”

When he was close enough, Baylan pulled him into a hug before pulling back. “I’m good, thanks. How do you like your new home?”

“These grounds are lovely, but I’ve not seen our living accommodation yet. I hear Alex was here as well.”

“He is, but he and Donovan went to try and find the location of Rogue Island. He should be back soon, as Ares gave them a two-hour time limit.”

“Was that wise?” Frederick asked, frowning a little.

“No, it was a dumb idea, which is why Donovan went with him. I think he’s trying to keep busy while Tudor’s resting.”

“It will be good if he can find out where the island is, though,” Frederick said.

“Frederick has filled me in on everything that has and is happening. I’m glad Zeus sent us here now, not just to protect his mate, but so we can help,” Maletayah said.

Baylan grinned. “You were bored up top, admit it.”

Maletayah laughed. “I think we were all getting bored, to be honest. Nothing much is happening up there these days. There are only twenty of us, but I can call the rest of my legion if needed.”

“All the other angels were yours?” Frederick asked in surprise.

“They are,” he confirmed.

“Nice, and I have the hell hounds,” Frederick said.

“I heard they made you their Alpha,” Baylan said.

Frederick laughed and nodded. “Yep, they liked me and decided I was now their Alpha.”

“The next pack run should be fun,” Baylan said. He looked at those training. “I see my mate finally made it out to his training session.”
