Arriving in a minute. Look for the black SUV with tinted windows.

Stephanie scoffs.

New car?

“Whatever the emergency was can put him in a hospital. I don’t care.”

“That’s not even right,” I cackle.

“He deserves it,” she counters.

Aldo

Accommodating Ms. Brown’s bags.

Steph scans the street in her sunglasses. “I don’t see him.”

I point to the shiny SUV. “He switched cars for your bags.”

“I don’t appreciate y’all picking on me.” She sashays toward the vehicle with eight bags, like somebody lied on her name.

The doors unlock, but Aldo doesn’t get out.

Stephanie’s phone rings again.

“Answer it,” I say.

She sighs.

“What?!” she shouts into the speakerphone.

“Where are you?” Andreas asks, out of breath.

“I wish you would call me with another woman on your dick!” Stephanie screams.

“Now is not the time,” he warns. “Where are you?”

“With B, heading back to the house. Aldo picked us up.”

“Aldo is d—“

The call drops.
