“Enough about me. Tell me about you.”

“As you can see, I love my plants.” Twila waved her hand around. “I love being out here and enjoying nature. But settling down on the couch with a good book or some trashy reality tv is great, too. I do medical billing so it’s kind of a boring job, but it pays the bills. Maybe one day I’ll sell some of the crafts I create, like the big blanket I knitted or the quilt I sewed. But for now, it’s more for fun.”

“Creative and a green thumb? Interesting.”

“Interesting and bit dull, hmm?” Twila grinned and then licked her lips, the move causing my dick to twitch. The urge to kiss her overtook me again.

I leaned forward and closed the distance between us. “Not dull at all. But can I ask you something?” My voice hoarse and growl like.

Twila’s eyes never left mine. She held on to my gaze, the shyness from earlier now gone. Whether it was the alcohol or the time spent together, I could tell she wanted this too. She moved closer and her tongue darted out once more, driving me absolutely insane. “Yes.” The word a breathless whisper.

“Is it okay if I kiss you?”

Without a second thought, I closed the distance and pressed my mouth against hers, hot and needy, ready to claim her. All of her.

Our mouths moved together, desperate and frantic, as if we were without for so long, the anticipation too much to bear.

My hands reached for her waist, and I pulled her onto my lap, needing her body against mine.

Twila groaned into my mouth as we deepened our kiss, our tongues swirling together as one. They dueled and explored, tasted and teased, as we discovered each other for the first time.

Our kisses were frantic and frenzied, our hands beginning to move on their own accord, so needy for the other.

But then suddenly, Twila stopped.

She backed away, our chests heaving, our eyes molten and blazing, her lips swollen and red. All I could think about was kissing her again. And again.

“Baylor…I…” Twila hesitated, her words hesitant and slow.

My shoulders fell. I moved too fast.

She was younger than me. A lot younger.

What the hell was I thinking?

Yeah, I asked her for the kiss, and she died yes but I got carried away.

“Shit I’m sorry, Twila. That was too much, I?—“

“No, wait, it’s not you, Baylor. It’s me. I’m…ugh…” she stood up from lap and paced the patio, her hands knotting together.

I stood, taking her hands in mine. “It’s okay, Twila. You don’t have to tell me. Let’s just call it a night, okay? I’ve got work in the morning and I’m sure you do too. It’s getting late so?—“

“I’m a virgin.”

My mouth snapped shut. That was not what I was expecting her to say.

Honestly?

I didn’t care.

Not one bit.

Because it meant she was untouched.

Mine.

Only mine.
