“Will do.”

I end the call and open the door to let Rory back in.

“Is everything alright? I didn’t mean to dump that on him. I wanted to wait until he got home, but he kept pushing.”

“I knew he was going to be a hard sell, but he loves you and wants what’s best for you.”

“And if that’s you?” He stands on his tiptoes and leans against me.

“Then you get to keep me.”

“Good because I want you.” He jumps into my arms and pecks my lips. “Let’s get ready for bed.”

“You only want to go to bed so you can nurse,” I tease.

“No, I’m tired.” He fake yawns and runs his hand up my chest. “And thirsty.”

“Alright, sneaky boy.”

“Are you going to introduce him to the men today?” Mal asks, and I nod. It’s time. Rory’s been here for a few days, and I know the men have noticed him. “Good. I’ll stay for support.”

“Support?”

“In case we have any homophobic assholes.”

I guess I hadn’t thought of that. It’s not something that I’ve ever addressed before. “Do we?”

Mal shrugs. “None of them are openly gay.”

“Liv’s gay.”

“Yeah, but that’s lesbians. It’s a totally different thing,” Tag says when he comes into my office with Rory on his heels.

I pull my boy into my arms and kiss the top of his head.

“Hi, Daddy.”

“Hey, rabbit. I missed you.”

“I missed you too.”

“Did you get everything you needed?” Tag took Rory home to get some of his things and check on his fairy garden. I’ve already got the grounds crew preparing an area so we can move the garden here when he’s ready.

“Yep. Tag is strong, so I used him like a pack mule,” Rory teases.

Tag gasps. “I’m hurt! I thought we were friends and you liked having me around.”

“I have no choice if you’re around or not,” Rory answers, and Tag laughs.

“You’re not wrong there.”

“But seriously, you are my friend, and I need more of those.”

Part of me wants to kill Tag cause Rory said he needs another man. I’m the only man he needs.

“I don’t have many friends either,” Tag says seriously, and you can see the sadness in his eyes for just a moment.

“We can be friends, and you can be my bodyguard because you make me feel safe.”
