“Stop sounding so reasonable or I’ll muzzle you myself.”

“I’d like to see you try.” The two glare at each other before Jordan turns back to me. “Sorry. Just do what feels comfortable, and if something isn’t right, speak up.”

“I’ll try, but I like this guy so much, and he’s just as new as I am. In fact, he’s never been in a relationship before.”

“Is he young?”

“Twenty-six.”

“That’s not bad. Maybe he’s been busy sowing his wild oats,” Bailey says.

“What a stupid expression.” Jordan laughs.

“Yeah, I think he’s ready to settle down, but what if he decides being with one man is boring and he wants to go back to sowing his wild oats?”

“Maybe he’s ready to settle down because he found you,” Jordan says wisely.

“He did mention that before, but he didn’t invite me home to meet his family.” I look down at my lap.

“Maybe his family sucks,” Bailey adds.

“Nah, he talks about how awesome his dad is,” I answer.

“How long have you been together?” Jordan asks.

“Um, a few weeks.” My hands twist.

“Hey, in relationships with a power exchange, the trust builds much quicker.” Jordan pats my back. “Do you feel like it’s moving too fast?”

“No.”

“Has he given you any reason to doubt him?”

“No, he’s been amazing and spoiling the hell out of me.”

“Daddies like to do that,” Bailey chimes back in.

“Then I would say take it one day at a time and don’t be offended if he needs more time, because all of this is new to him.”

“Yeah, and have fun,” Bailey adds just as our food arrives. “Oh, you should come to dinner with us one night! You’d fit right in!”

“I’d like that. Thanks.”

“Alright, boys. Lunch is served.”

There’s a knock at my door, and I smile but sigh. Leo spoils the hell out of me, and while I don’t need any of it, my apartment is looking more like a home than a bachelor pad/exam room.

When I open it, I find an easel and huge white bag.

I suck in a deep breath. Did he get me real paints?

I don’t know how to paint with real paint, but I’d like to try, so I bring the easel in and get it set up in my living room since it’s just a one-bedroom apartment. Then I go back to grab the bag.

Damn, this bag is heavy, and I’m in good shape. What did he all buy?

There’s a note on top.

It doesn’t need to be perfect, just give it a try. XOXO Daddy.
