I smirk, a shiver running up my spine. I glance at my side and see Aliko standing there in a tight pair of black jeans and no shirt. I take a deep breath to calm my nerves. Sitting with this egg inside me is difficult enough. It keeps brushing all the good spots inside me, my dick threatening to get hard. “If you were hiding, I’d respect it. I see how crazy things get. Same goes for you keeping your persona under wraps. Those are your choices, and I will respect them.”
A soft smile crosses his lips.
“I don’t want to offend you.”
“Trust me, Aliko, I know the way you feel about me.”
“You do?” he asks, sounding surprised.
“I mean, yeah. For the most part. You do a really good job of showing me.” I wink, causing him to smile. “Where and when are we going to dinner?”
“When we’re in New York City.”
“Wow, you’re spoiling me.”
“I wish I could kiss you right now.”
That has me speechless for far too long.
“Me too,” I finally whisper.
He huffs a small laugh. “Thewhereis a surprise, but you’ll enjoy it.”
“If I’m with you, I know I will.”
“Aliko!” Lucien shouts from somewhere in the back. “Come here, man!”
Aliko winks before taking off to find Lucien. I finish setting up his kit then go see if any of the crew need help with anything else—as carefully as I can.
Cody finds me almost immediately.
“No more dirty looks, I see.”
