Fuck it, fuck it!
That’s a shot with wolfsbane, meaning I am without my wolf.
Three guys I haven’t seen yet lunge at me, but I dodge them easily. I have trained with Griffin and Forest a lot, learning howto rely on myself more and not just on my wolf, but fuck, I am not going to survive for long against a bunch of strong wolves?
Well, I am not going down without a fight.
Grabbing an iron bar off the ground, I hit one of them before kicking the other. “Fuck,” one of them groans. “He is strong!”
“We need reinforcement,” another one yells.
I hope Forest will be proud of me for how long I try to hold up against them, although I am being heavily outnumbered. I know my wolf would be proud, but I also hope I did something useful for Forest, Rose and the pack. They have seen what’s going on through my camera. They must be on their way.
Even if they are too late to save me, I am sure they can at least save a few of these victims.
More men pour into the room, piling onto me. I try to dodge their attacks, but I have no chance.
“Stop!”
At hearing Jordan’s voice, the men instantly halt. Two guys grab me and force me down on my knees. I watch as Jordan comes closer, his formerly so polite expression replaced by a glint I can only describe as… content. He looks like he is fucking enjoying this!
Jordan comes closer, grabs my face and then punches me hard. I feel dizzy at the impact, my jaw pulsating painfully. He did not dislocate ityet, but it was close. I turn back to look at him, noticing how he sneers. Claws appear in front of me. “I could rip your heart out,” he whispers before bearing his claws into my side.
A groan leaves my lips, but other than that, I don’t make a sound.
For a moment, Jordan stares at me, then he gets up and to my shock, punches one of the guards. He sends the man flying. “You needed six men to restrain him,” he hisses. “That’s weak.”
“I am sorry, Alpha.” The guy hurries back to his feet and bows his head. “We were—”
“It doesn’t matter what you were,” he huffs. “You are my elites, yet you could barely hold yourself against a wolf under wolfsbane. It’s disappointing. And I am not even talking about that other fool, Jonah, who utterly failed me!” He takes a deep breath. “We’ll discuss this issue later.”
At the way his men wince, I don’t want to imagine how he discusses any issues with them. I’d feel a hint of pity for them if we weren’t in a fucking basement with innocent people locked in, ready to be slaughtered for one of his sick games.
None of these men deserves my pity.
“You know, you were good,” Jordan says, stepping closer to me now. “Almost convincing. But it was too easy.”
“Yes,” I say. “I didn’t have enough time to build up a better persona.”
Jordan’s expression turns into one of annoyance before his expression smooths over and he looks mildly intrigued. “Your poker face is fascinating, but unfortunately, I will need to get rid of you now. I wish we could play a little longer, but I have guests upstairs and can’t let them wait. And I certainly won’t take the risk and keep you alive.” He takes out a gun and loads a single bullet into it before holding it against my head. “Any last words?”
“Yes,” I say, spitting out some blood. Then I chuckle. “Rose really found the best possible mate and alpha in Forest.”
“Fuck you,” Jordan hisses, hitting the gun over my head.
I just laugh at his rage. His ego truly is easy to bruise. What a pathetic loser.
“Alpha,” one of the men whispers. “It’s almost 12 a.m.”
“Time for the games,” Jordan spits, looking annoyed. I guess if it weren’t for the party he was going to, he would definitely haveplayeda little longer. I can hear a clicking sound before he holds his gun towards me again. “Say goodbye.”
