And I’ll spend the rest of my existence doing so.

The stillness and silence surrounding us are peaceful.

Not heavy or crushing like everything that just ripped free from me.

That was…excruciating.

There were some moments where I couldn’t even cry or scream because I couldn’t pull enough air into my lungs. That’s exactly what the last two days without them felt like. Suffocating, although I could function through it.

Every moment without them, my whole being grew more desperate. All the anxiety and fear that I wouldn’t succeed built up inside of me, aiding, feeding that emotional barrier.

Fuck, I know better now.

I don’t think I’ll ever put another one up. I don’t mean just between them and me. No one.

Once I got enough energy in me, I’ll take Mellcom’s down as well. I’ll have to be in a much better mindset for his, though.

“Come on,” Creed says, but it’s more of a warning than anything.

He lifts me effortlessly off the floor and marches toward my bathroom. My eyes widen as I catch a glimpse of myself.

Shit. No wonder the stupid-ass Beginning Gods were looking at me like I was crazy.

My messy hair and the dried blood on my face really add an air of instability to my eyes.

I couldn’t care less, and the thought flees me when Creed sets me on my feet. My knees wobble and my fingers curl into his shirt for balance. His hands grip my hips and our gazes collide.

“We’ve got you,” he whispers.

Four sets of hands get to work undressing me. Nothing’s rushed or hurried. Their gentle touches are doing two things. Checking me over for any injuries and feeding that desperate desire to just touch me.

Ineedthem to touch me.

I want to be so consumed with them, I forget the last two days ever even happened.

The warm spray of water welcomes us in, and I have to bite my tongue when they all step in here with their clothes on. Part of me is tempted to Obliterate the cloth, but I decide against it when Kyzen tilts my chin up.

“Close your eyes,” he says.

I do so without argument and everything around me intensifies.

The other three trace my skin with their fingers while he starts washing my hair. There’s something undeniably comforting and…arousing about being taken care of like this.

I soak up every sensation.

Despite not being able to see, I know who’s doing exactly what.

Creed and Riven have taken a side each, washing every inch of my upper body.

It’s Amick who’s kneeling before me.

He’s methodical with his touches. Intentional in a way that says I’m not doing this to turn you on, but to take care of you.

Even though he’s unknowingly doing both.
