Creed’s probably the maddest I’ve ever seen him. At Amick, anyway. The emotions pounding away at my chest are a mixture of fear and that overwhelming relief justice brings.
Riven’s a bouncy little fucking psycho.
He’s reenacted the murder ten different ways since we starshot into the living room. If I have to hear—Did you see him? He did this—followed by him stabbing the air, one more time, I’m going to scream at him to sit the fuck down.
My fingers move up and down on my lips as my leg bounces a million miles a minute. Riven’s leaps and hops across the living room can’t completely distract my thoughts and soul.
I’ve never in my life been prouder and more scared for someone simultaneously.
I’m jittery with everything running rampant through me. I’d do just about anything right now for ten minutes of peace so I could calm my mind.
I hope to fuck Amick and Kyzen aren’t gone the full hour.
With Kyzen’s power, they need to have this wrapped up in…fifteen minutes max.
That’s about how long I’ll be able to sit here stewing.
“Riven, sit the fuck down before I knock you out,” Creed growls.
“Oh, God of Death, don’t play with me right now. I’m thrumming with energy.”
“Get him, or I will end him,” Creed says, snarling at me like I did something.
What the hell does he want me to do?
Well…on second thought…
“I’d like an orgasm, Riven.”
Yep. That gets his attention.
“Come again?”
“Well, I haven’t come the first time, so…”
A chuckle slips through his lips, and he bites his knuckle to stop the sound.
“Don’t fuck with me right now, Thayla. This isn’t the time for teasing.”
“I’m not teasing.”
“You are. I see it in your eyes and don’t sense a hint of arousal coming from you.”
I shrug as I push myself up from the couch. Teasing, taunting, he can call it whatever he wants. I successfully did something as Creed demanded and distracted him from all that damn jumping around.
“Maybe I’m getting better at hiding it. But it’s whatever, your loss. I can go help myself.”
He allows me to turn from the couch and take a step in the direction of my room before he spins my ass back around.
I crash into his chest, and he grips me gently around my throat. His swirling burgundy eyes bore into mine as he tsks at me.
“Bad, bad angel. You know as well as I that Chaos loves to play games.” He brushes his nose across mine, leaving his lips a breath away from me. “Is that what you’re trying to do? Play with me?”
I gulp as every feature on his face clouds with a dare laced in lust.
Oops.
I maybe should’ve gone in a different direction with this.
