Ever.

Until Thayla.

I thought waking up and meeting her in the kitchen alone before the guys or the sun came up was special. The quiet conversations and jokes shared just between the two of us made my day, and my feelings for her grew with every passing minute.

Yesterday and this morning elevated that to a whole new level.

Instead of waking up to my internal alarm or the one on my sunsetter—that doesn’t even sound like a Vedarya—I woke up with her stretching out and pushing her tight little ass into my dick.

That woke it and me up.

I drank down every inch of her just like I did countless times yesterday and well into the night.

I couldn’t get enough of her.

My power shifted every way while I was buried inside of her. Some moments I slowed it so I could cherish her fully. Then I’d speed it up so I could race to seeher fall apart for me once again. Right as she’d come, I’d make time stand still so I could imprint the pleasure written across her face to my mind.

Ineedto see that look as often as possible.

The time we’ve known each other may not seem like long enough to grow that attached to someone, but when you live and spend nearly your entire day with that person, the seconds become minutes. The minutes drift into hours and the hours turn to days.

The buildup, the time we took getting to know one another, made yesterday more than I could’ve imagined.

I’m already addicted to the eternity I’m going to have with her.

It may be her soul attached to mine permanently now, but I can assure you, she owns mine just as much.

“Why are you coming from Thayla’s room?” That low, dark-ass voice has me jumping. I was so lost in my bliss, I didn’t even notice Creed already sitting at the dining table.

Before I can say anything, his eyes narrow dangerously on me.

“What the fuck did you do?”

“Don’t start that shit, Creed,” I warn as I make my way to grab two coffee mugs.

Last night, the only time I wasn’t inside of Thayla was when I came out here to grab us a snack and drink. I found the living areas empty, but the medley soup and bread were sitting on the stove, waiting for whoever wanted them.

I wanted to go check on him, but I knew better than to do that after what happened. He has his routine he follows to snap himself out of it. I don’t interfere unless I see that he can’t calm himself down.

If you step in when he doesn’t need you to, it makes him worse. Like Thayla—unknowingly, of course—almost did when she touched him. It’d seem his night alone didn’t provide him enough time to calm all the way down.

“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”

“Yes, I do. I didn’t know that would happen to her soul, but regardless, I never had any intention of it being removed from me.”

He stands from the table and stomps his way over to face me. “Did you bother telling her that she can never have her soul back now?”

I throw my hands up and stare at him. “Yeah, actually, I did. I immediately told her it completely sealed itself to mine. Since we’re in the mood to call each other out this morning, it’d seem, when do you plan on telling heryourfucking soul did something to hers yesterday?”

That gets his attention.

The mean-ass glare he had on his face falters. The panic that replaces it is quickly wiped away.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Quit lying, Creed. It’s no coincidence that she freaked the hell out at the exact same time as you did yesterday and destroyed her bathroom, just like you do every damn time.”

He flinches the slightest bit, and the sorrowful frown that spreads across his face calms down my simmering anger.
