I can’t hear anything.

If not for the blazing blue rings in his eyes shining brighter than the stars, I wouldn’t be able to see.

Power surrounds us and we both gasp.

It comes and goes just as fast, leaving us slumping into one another as we catch our breaths. Everything he’d been, impressively, still holding up in my bathroom comes crashing down.

The water pouring from the showerhead pelts his back and he steps us out of its way. My whole body trembles against his as his fingers rub soft strokes against my back.

I focus on that rhythmic motion as I search inside of myself.

Both panic and complete, utter bliss battle within me.

Something’s different.

My soul is different.

“Kyzen.”

He lays a kiss to my forehead before looking down at me. “Everything’s okay.”

“How…what just happened?”

His breathtaking smile literally captures the air in my lungs. “Your soul just completely sealed itself to mine. It was as powerful as what happened on the Veiling Day but not painful. That was the most glorious sensation I’ve ever felt.”

“Completely sealed? Like we’ll never be able to separate them now?”

“Do you want that possibility?”

His question is so genuine despite the slight worry he’s trying to hide on his face. That sincerity tells me he’ll accept whatever I say.

“No. No, I don’t.”

He lays his lips to mine.

“I’ll take care of it forever, Thayla Godrun.”

A smile breaks out across my lips, but it’s swiftly replaced as my mouth forms an O.

His cock twitches inside of me and my eyes widen at his readiness for round two.

“I control my own recovery time, so you tell me now if you need a break.”

I jerk my head. “Nope. No break.”

He chuckles, slowly thrusting his hips, and his laugh turns into a groan. “Fuck. I’m going to spend eternity worshipping you in more ways than you can imagine.”

Yes, please.

I’ve never known what it was like to wake up with a woman in my arms.

Neither my brothers nor I have ever allowed ourselves to have a relationship that was meaningful enough for us to stay over at their house.

No goddess has ever set foot into our home.
