“It’s been a while,” Alexa grinned when Becca came, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, looking flushed and decidedly pleased with herself. “Was that ok? I’m a little rusty.”
“That was more than ok,” Becca said breathlessly. “How rusty are we talking?” She laid her head back on the pillow again. “That didn’t feel rusty.”
Alexa’s grin widened with pride. “A few years. Not since high school. Clearly I remembered more than I thought.”

The four of them kept going until, sometime in the early hours, the intensity started to settle into something calmer… not surprising, Ellie figured, given the hour and how much they’d drunk that evening.
Ellie went to fetch a drink of water, lingering in the kitchen for a few minutes to catch her breath, but as she came back upstairs Becca intercepted her.
“Ssshh…” she said quietly, putting her finger to Ellie’s lips.
“What is it?” Ellie whispered.
Becca was smiling excitedly. “Look.” She gestured with her head towards the second bedroom. “Quietly.”
Ellie tiptoed along until she could see past the door and stopped, enthralled. One lamp was still on, presumably Becca had pulled the door half-closed, but otherwise the room was as she’d left it a few minutes before.
On the bed though… Mia and Alexa were under the covers now, Alexa on her back, head resting on the pillow, and Mia was next to her, leaning across, kissing her deeply, her hand moving under the covers while Alexa’s hand was on the back of her head, pulling her close.
It was electric.
Ellie half expected to see lightning crackling across the room it was so hot… nothing, absolutely nothing, existed in the world right then for those two except each other and whatever this had ignited between them.
She felt Becca walk up behind her, her chin resting on Ellie’s shoulder, her arms reaching around Ellie’s front, holding her tight. Ellie reached a hand back.
The kiss went on, slowly, timelessly, Alexa and Mia utterly lost in each other, and Ellie couldn’t tear her eyes away even though her gut told her she must, that something was happening there that was intensely private and was for the two of them alone.
Couldn’t tear her eyes away, that is, until Becca’s lips found her neck, once, twice, three times, and then her lips found Ellie’s ear and whispered so quietly that only Ellie could possibly hear, “Come to bed, and let me kiss you like that…”
Ellie didn’t need asking twice, the spell broken, and turned to follow Becca through to their bedroom, turning off the landing light as they went.

Becca closed the bedroom door and turned to face Ellie, and for a moment they just looked at each other in the lamplight. They both looked exactly like two women who’d spent hours drinking and fucking, and Ellie reckoned she’d never liked the look of Becca more… she looked liberated, freed.
“Hey,” Becca whispered.
“Hey.”
“You ok?”
“I’m incredible. You?”
“Same.” She stepped forward and took both of Ellie’s hands. “I need my wife now.”
“I need mine.”
Becca reached behind Ellie’s neck and unfastened her own necklace from where it hung. Ellie did the same, returning Becca’s, and they put them back where they belonged… each woman wearing her own chain again, the pendants warm from the other’s skin.
“Back where they belong,” Becca whispered, touching the pendant at her own throat.
“Always.” Ellie smiled. “I mean no one could tell the difference.”
“We can, though. We really can.”
Suddenly they were all over each other, and quickly they were in their bed, their actual bed, and it was like the first night after Kelly all over again: the fierce, possessive, reclaiming sex that both of them needed after giving themselves to other people, except this time Ellie needed it too, needed to be reclaimed as much as she needed to reclaim, because tonight she’d been someone else’s as well.
