I feel the heat of his soft laugh against my lips before he says, “I wonder if this is something that’ll be passed down to our kids.”

“I don’t want to think about that right now,” I say, making him laugh again.

“Yeah, me either. I’m starting to sympathize with your dad and brothers a lot more at the mere thought of some guy chasing our daughter through the forest at night. They went easy on me, and that’s only because they love you more than they hate me.”

“They don’t hate you,” I tell him.

“Maybe not, but they hated what I did, and I can’t blame them for that.” He gently bites my bottom lip, tugging it closer to him as the wet heat of his tongue brushes against me. “Especially since I’m going to do it again the first chance I get.”

The soft moan I give at his words has him letting go of my lip so he can kiss me properly. I tighten my body around his, letting the silky strands of his hair run through my fingers as I suck his tongue into my mouth and groan at the taste of him filling my mouth. I will never be able to get enough of this man, but right as I’m determined to at least get my temporary fix, I hear Misha’s voice from behind us.

“We’re trying our best to not kill him, but you don’t need to rub it in our faces.”

I pull back with a mortified groan and rest my face against Damien’s neck. He pats my back in sympathy, but the laugh he gives makes it clear he thinks my embarrassment is funny.

“Make some noise next time,” I tell my brothers.

It’s Yuri who says, “Yeah, I’m not so sure that would’ve helped.”

“Come on,besyonok,” Damien murmurs in my ear. “Let’s go hang out with your family and convince them our marriage is a good idea.”

“They’ll be welcoming you with open arms before the sun comes up,” I promise and give him another kiss before he sets me down and threads his fingers through mine.

We walk inside together, and not having to hide how in love we are is just as amazing as I knew it would be. Even though it’s been a big night for everyone, we stay up for hours, heating up leftovers and laughing while my family slowly embraces the idea of Damien becoming a part of our family.

When we decide to go to bed and my dad and brothers make no attempt to stop Damien from staying over in my room, I’m not sure which one of us is more surprised. Before they can change their minds, I grab Damien’s hand and lead him down the hall with Nyx right at our heels.

Once we’ve shut the door, I grab the waistband of his jeans and pull him closer. “I told you they’d love you,” I say before starting to undress him.

He watches me with a very amused grin playing at his lips. “Always so insatiable,” he murmurs.

When I free him from his pants, I raise a brow at him. “I’m not the only one.”

He eyes the fully hard cock between us. “This is entirely your fault.”

Wrapping my hand around him, I give him a squeeze, watching the way his eyes go heavy-lidded and his lips slightly part. I slowly work my hand up and down his length.

“If it’s my fault, then I’d better do something to fix it.” I run my thumb over his slit, smearing pre-cum along his head. WhenI lean down to lick him clean, he groans my name and fists my hair.

“Fuck, besyonok,” he groans when I wrap my lips around him.

We both know we need to be quiet, but I’m also determined to do whatever it takes to make this man growl my name. With that goal firmly in mind, I sink to my knees and take him in deeper.

One Month Later

I laugh when Damien keeps a firm grip on my hand and leads me down the path to the beach. He’s obviously hiding something from me, has been for weeks, but I have no idea what it is, and it’s driving me crazy.

“Where are we going?” I ask, even though I’ve already asked three times and he refuses to tell me.

“Patience, besyonok,” he says before kissing the back of my hand.

“I’ve been patient,” I mutter, which only makes him smile when he hears it.

Nyx gives a happy bark and runs down the beach ahead of us, chasing after a flock of seagulls near the water’s edge. She’s quickly taken to Damien and decided he’s her second favorite human. Damien is completely in love with her and spoils her rotten every chance he gets. I’m constantly getting glimpses of what he’s going to be like as a dad, and I love everything I’m learning. I haven’t told him about the pregnancy test I took this morning, but it’s on the tip of my tongue to shout it to the world.First, I want to find out what he’s up to. He’s up to something, and I need to know what it is.

The wind whips at us, salty sea air that makes my ponytail dance and my shirt and shorts billow around me. Damien stops when we’re close enough for the cold water to hit my bare feet with each wave that comes in.
