“You’re such a beautiful Naga,” Savanah said. “I feel really blessed every time I see you do that,” she murmured as Kyllian walked toward the house.

“I was born this way,” he winked, and Savanah turned to walk toward the ship. She tapped gently and waited until the familiar smiling face of Aisaack met them at the door.

“Well, look what the wind blew in,” Aisaack said, looking over the two of them. “Come in,” he finished. Kyllian looked back at him and nodded, and Savanah walked into the house first.

“He’s got something important to tell you,” Savanah said, sitting down in a chair once safely inside.

“What’s going on?” Aisaack said, sitting down as he looked between the two. His wife walked up to look at them with a smile.

“Hey, sis,” Savanah said, “you may want to sit down,” she smiled at her sister.

“So, last night Savanah spent the night with me at my father’s house. I’m sure you all knew that, but that’s not what this is about,” he explained.

“So, what is this about then?” Aisaack asked, urging Kyllian to end the suspense.

“I heard a noise in the hallway; when I peeked out of my door it was my father walking aimlessly. I mean, walking along like he wasn’t in control of himself in the least. Like he had been overtaken by some remote-controlled device or something. It weirded me out and it kind of reminded me of Savanah’s episodes,” Kyllian said.

The four of them looked at each other in silence for a moment before Aisaack finally spoke up. “So, is your father okay then?” he asked.

“Yeah, but because of his behavior I decided to follow him. I ended up following him halfway across town to this really big casino. He went to the top floor then exited out onto the roof, and this man dressed in all black and wearing sunglasses met him at the edge of the roof. Something about all of it was really strange to me, so I followed my instincts and I stayed to the shadows, which made it impossible to make out what they talked about, but I got to see what I needed to see,” Kyllian said.

“What is it that you saw?” Aisaack asked.

“Aisaack, it’s real. The Tuuleuss you saw: it exists. I saw him; the man my father met with last night was a Tuuleuss. I watched him shift and perch on the casino before taking off into the night. And he was massive. I mean, he puts us Naga to real shame,” Kyllian said, sighing as he finished his speech.

“Whoa, that’s a lot of information to process,” Aisaack said, somewhat relieved at what he was hearing, but also really worried about what it might mean. “I can’t say I’m not happy that you saw it because now nobody can say I’m a nutcase, but you know what this means,” he said.

“Yeah, things have gotten really serious, but now everything makes sense, doesn’t it?” Kyllian asked, looking directly at Aisaack.

Aissack nodded and looked to his wife, pulling her closer to him and pressing a kiss to her forehead.

“So, what should we do now?” Savanah asked.

“Well, we need to let the space alliance know about this, but the problem is we don’t have any proof. All we have is mine and Aisaack’s word, and like he just said, most will think we are lying or crazy,” he finished. Kyllian doubled over slightly, placing his hands on either side of his stomach as he lowered his head. He was ashamed and humiliated by all of it. On the one hand, he wanted his father’s respect, but the new knowledge he had obtained was making him sick, and he thought he might vomit right where he sat.

“Are you okay, Kyllian?” Savanah asked, placing her hand on his knee with a look of concern across her face.

“I don’t know. I mean, I feel really sick about all of this,” he confessed. “You’re right though; we need more proof, and without it, we’re never going to get anywhere with the space alliance,” he said.

Savanah sighed and frowned slightly. It was all too much for her to comprehend.

“I’m not doing anything else to help my father at this point. I’m done with this crap, and I refuse to help that snaky creature. I’m out of this,” he said, lifting his hands and running them through his hair to rub at his temples gently. Things had just become more than overwhelming, and Kyllian needed a break. Whatever was to come would come, but for now, Kyllian needed to clear his head and make some major decisions.
