I frown. “How do you figure?”

“Well, that’s where Gio and Ruin went. If we’re going too, we’d have left with them.” She lifts an eyebrow like she’s daring me to prove her wrong.

I grin. “That’s solid logic.”

“I know.”

“But what if they just didn’t want to share the jet with us?”

Penny laughs. “Good point. Gio definitely wouldn’t want us third-wheeling their baby moon.”

Then her entire expression changes.

“Hey, hotstuff.”

I blink.

“I’m sorry—What did you just call me?”

“Hotstuff,” she repeats casually as she unbuckles her seat belt and climbs into my lap. “You’re always calling me sugar and boss and sweetheart.” She shrugs while lazily playing with my hair. “I figured I should probably come up with another thing to moan when you make me come.”

“Fuck, sugar.”

It’s the only thing I manage before I pull her mouth to mine.

I kiss her hard, gripping her ass and dragging her tighter against me.

My greedy cock is already hard by the time she starts grinding slowly against me, and somehow it still shocks me how much this woman affects me.

Who would have thought dry humping would be so hot at thirty? We’ve slept together more times than I can count now, but even this feels hot enough to melt my damn brain.

I’m pretty sure anything involving Penny Levine would.

The only reason we stop is because the pilot announces we need to take our seats for landing.

“New York?” Penny shrieks as the jet circles over the city, skyscrapers stretching up around us like we could reach out and touch them.

“Yeah.” I scratch the back of my neck, suddenly second-guessing every decision I made for today. “I hope you like it here.”

“I can’t wait to see what you planned for us,” she says softly, though she still hasn’t looked away from the window.

“Hey,” I wait until she finally turns toward me. “What’s wrong?”

She bites her bottom lip, and I can practically see the wheels turning in her head.

“Nothing.” A small smile curves her lips. “It’s just… no one’s even done something like this for me before.”

It’s strange seeing someone as strong and as put-together as Penny look genuinely overwhelmed over my getaway plan. But I’m glad I’m the one giving this to her.

I reach for her hand and lace our fingers together.

“First I need to feed you, then we’re doing an activity I think you’ll really enjoy.” I kiss the back of her hand before we step off the jet together.

“Miles.”

Penny comes to a complete stop when she spots an SUV idling on the runway.

“What?” I ask, trying hard not to laugh at the look on her face. I glance away before she catches how pleased I am by her reaction.
