“We’ll never be the same as we were,” Elijah continued, shoving the blankets down and putting one knee on the bed.
Logan had no choice but to lean back when Elijah crowded him.
“He’s right,” Sam agreed, shifting so that she was laid out at his side, her head on his shoulder.
“I don’t want us to be the same,” Elijah said softly, moving over him.
Logan relaxed on the bed, the heat of their bodies enveloping him. He pulled Sam in closer, resting his hand on her hip as he stared up at Elijah. “What do you want, then?”
“I’m not just your wife’s lover anymore.”
Sam’s hand moved up Elijah’s arm, the movement drawing Logan’s attention. He loved watching her touch him.
“And I don’t want to just be your lover, either.”
Logan’s gaze snapped over to Elijah. He wasn’t sure what was happening here. Were they ganging up on him?
“I want more,” Elijah continued, his gaze shifting to Sam. “More from both of you.”
“Anything,” she said sweetly.
Elijah’s dark gaze moved between them for a moment, and Logan sensed that what was coming next would ultimately change the dynamic of their relationship.
He probably should’ve let Elijah continue, heard the man out because what he was about to say was important. However, Logan had never been the sort to take a backseat to anything, and he damn sure wasn’t about to start now.
Before Elijah could speak, Logan moved. He heard Sam’s squeal of surprise seconds before Elijah grunted as Logan flipped their positions so that Elijah was flat on his back and Logan loomed over him.
“You’re right,” Logan told him, his voice rougher than he intended.
He pulled Sam closer, shifted so that he was straddling one of Sam’s legs and one of Elijah’s. They remained where they were, flat on their backs, staring up at him as he sat on his haunches.
“If we’re gonna do this, it needs to be more permanent.”
Elijah turned his head, peered over at Sam. “He’s stealing my moment.”
She laughed. “I think you’re right.”
Logan smiled. “Do you want a wedding?”
Elijah’s head snapped back, his eyes slamming into Logan’s face. “What?”
Sam inhaled sharply, and Logan could practically feel her vibrating. She clearly understood what Logan was getting at.
“You heard me.” Logan tapped Elijah’s knee. “Do you want a wedding?”
“Wha— I don’t—”
“The three of us,” Logan clarified. “It’s not legal, of course, but we can still stand on ceremony. Do it the right way.”
Elijah’s eyes widened. “You would marry me?”
“For the record, so would I,” Sam declared with a huff.
Logan smiled down at his wife. “Would you marry me again?”
There was no hesitation when she said, “In a heartbeat.”
He ensured she saw his relief before turning his attention to Elijah. “And you?”
