His hand wrapped firmly around the back of my neck, and his dark-as-night eyes bored into my soul. “What’s it going to take to convince you that I would do absolutelyanythingfor you, Eva?”

I shuddered and wet my lips.

“Anything?” I asked, my voice hitching.

“Anything,” he growled.

Before I could ask him to elaborate, he’d flipped me around. He pushed me up against the alley wall and dropped his mouth to my neck. His tongue whispered across my skin, and a wave of tormenting shivers raced down my spine. A low growl rumbled from his throat as his mouth whispered toward my spine.

His hands wrapped around my jeans and tugged them open. The button popped free, and a cool breath of air whispered across my butt as he tugged down the material.

“Oh,” I choked out, my cheeks heating up a thousand degrees. I certainly hadn’t seen that coming...and I wasn’t going to complain. It had been far too long since I’d felt his hands on me.

I could feel him smiling against my skin as his fingers dipped between my thighs. His thumb drifted toward my apex, moving in time with the pressure of his lips on my neck. My core clenched tight in anticipation, and I sucked in a sharp breath.

Truth be told, I’d never felt more excited in my life.

This was like dancing with danger. At any moment, some unsuspecting passerby could stroll past the mouth of the alley.

Caim’s thumb slipped across my core. I moaned at the sudden burst of pleasure, my fingers curving like claws against the alley wall.

“That’s it,” he murmured against my ear. His thumb vanished, leaving me aching for more. And then I heard the unmistakable sound of a belt clinking and a zipper being undone. My heart leapt into my throat, beating wildly. Was he really going to do this? Here and now?

Excitement thundered through my veins.

His hard length speared me from behind. A cry popped from my throat as he thrust deep inside of me. He was taking no prisoners. This was no sweet love-making session. It was raw and hungry and full of need. He rocked back and slammed inside me once more, so hard my cheek practically hit the wall.

And god, did it feel amazing.

Moaning, I tried to grasp onto anything I could find, but the wall was the only thing I had. Nails slid across the rough brick as he thundered into me with the ferocity of a demon at the height of need. I lifted my cheeks to meet his thrusts, eager for more.

His fingers dug into my hips as his pace quickened. I reached behind me, and my fingers laced with his. Something about that simple touch seemed to drive him wild. He roared, his voice echoing down the alley. Anyone in the buildings nearby would hear, but I found I didn’t care. Hell, I hoped they heard what I did to this man. To this creature who was unlike anyone I’d ever met.

No one would ever compare.

“Fuck me harder,” I whispered to him.

Our bodies collided, transforming into one. One hand clutched my hip, his fingers threaded with mine. The other tangled in my hair. He tugged back my head, exposing my neck to his teeth. They grazed my skin with a hunger that curled through me, a hunger for the rough and raw need I could only ever have with him.

Caim was everything. He spoke to every single part of me. He understood me in a way no one else ever could. It was as if our souls were made for each other, as if we were destined to end up in each other’s arms. When he looked at me, hesawme. He understood. And he accepted it all.

My core clenched. My body heated up another thousand degrees, and I hurtled toward the edge of endless bliss. Everything within me shattered around him, my chest heaving as a million stars dotted my eyes. He clutched me harder, roaring as he came close behind.

As the pulses slowed, I slumped forward against the wall and hid a smile as Caim slowly pulled the jeans back up around my butt. So gentle, so caring. Even after all ofthat.

“I think I may have gotten a little carried away.” He zipped up his jeans as I spun toward him. With a grin, I launched into his arms, kissing him right on the cheek.

“You can get carried away with me as often as you’d like.”

He grinned back, and then winked. “I’ll keep that in mind. In fact, give me ten minutes, and I’ll be ready to get carried away again.”

“Maybe back at your apartment this time?” I asked with an arched brow. “This was fun, but...”

“But I want to look into your eyes and spend hours exploring your skin,” he finished for me, his eyes darkening with need. “And I sure as hell can’t do that in an alley.”

I shuddered, my core already clenching for him again. “Yes, please.”

Caim gathered me into his arms and spread his wings. There was so much we needed to figure out. So many enemies lurked in the shadowy corners of our lives. But for now, all that mattered was him.
