His hand suddenly slid up to cup her jaw, fingers tightening slightly before he leaned in again and captured her mouth with his.
Amara’s eyes widened for a second before she completely lost her breath under the force of it. His mouth moved against hers with frustrating familiarity, overwhelming her so completely that her mind went blank for a moment.
By the time he finally pulled away, she was left breathless.
Elias stared at her swollen lips for a second before casually turning back toward the steering wheel. There was still a faint lipstick mark at the corner of his mouth as he started the engine and drove out of the building area without another word.
Amara sat there trying to steady her breathing, her hair slightly messy from his hands. She turned toward him sharply.
“Where are you going?” she demanded, her voice still unsteady.
He didn’t answer.
His expression remained cold as he continued driving down the road with one hand on the wheel. A moment later, his other hand moved toward her thigh, fingers brushing against her leg.
Amara immediately slapped his hand away and turned farther toward the door.
“Let me out of the car,” she snapped angrily. “I’m already tired of this. I want to go home.”
Elias still said nothing.
He simply kept driving.
The silence inside the car only made the tension worse.
Eventually the car slowed before coming to a stop. Amara looked out the window, and her expression instantly hardened when she realized where they were.
His house.
Before she could react, Elias got out and walked around the car. The moment he opened her door, Amara tried stepping away from him, but he caught her wrist immediately and pulled her toward the entrance.
“Elias, let go of me,” she snapped, struggling against his grip as he led her inside.
He ignored her protests completely.
The entire way to the bedroom, Amara kept trying to pull free, pushing against him and refusing to cooperate, but Elias barely reacted. His jaw stayed tight, his expression dark with restrained frustration.
The second they entered the room, Amara stepped away from him immediately.
“I’m not getting back together with you,” she said firmly, glaring at him. “Stop acting like you can just drag me back here and everything will go back to normal.”
Elias took a slow step closer.
“You’re coming back to me,” he said in a low voice, his eyes fixed on her. “Whether you want to accept it or not.”
“No,” Amara shot back instantly. “I already left you. I’m not doing this again.”
The tension between them thickened as they stood facing each other across the room, neither willing to back down.
The very next second, he caught her jaw and pulled her into him, claiming her lips in a fierce kiss. His tongue swept over hers, tasting her, taking his time as if he owned every reaction she gave him. Then he broke away just as suddenly, leaving her breathless, lips burning, wanting more.
Amara leaned in without thinking, eyes fixed on him, hungry for another kiss. But Elias only smirked and stepped back, watching her like he enjoyed the need he was creating in her.
The next moment, his hands were on his clothes. He stripped them off with impatient ease, leaving her exposed within seconds before he shed his own. Then he lifted her into his arms and carried her straight into the bathroom, setting her down on the counter.
Cold marble met her skin and she shivered instantly.
“Wait here. If you move, I’ll make your punishment worse than you can even imagine,” he growled, voice rough and dangerous.
