She ignored that comment to say, “It can be tricky.”

“Tricky how?”

“It’s hard to keep work and your private life separate.”

“It doesn’t have to be.”

“Maybe not. I guess it depends on the job,” she said. “And the boss. Fortunately, I have a good boss.”

He grinned. “Thank you, ma’am.”

“Besides, I decided before this happened that if things got too difficult or if we broke up and couldn’t work together anymore I’d just quit.”

“I don’t want you to quit. Besides, why talk about breaking up when we just now got together?”

“I don’t want to quit either, but it’s something we should consider.”

“This conversation is decimating my postcoital glow.”

“We can’t have that.” She kissed his mouth, then started stringing kisses down his body. “I really like your body,” she murmured in between kisses. “Such pretty muscles.”

He would have objected to being described as pretty but she was getting perilously close to completely blowing his mind. “Um,” was all he managed before he couldn’t speak, couldn’t think, could only give himself up to the pleasure.
