I looked up to see if I could spot him, but it was already too late. He’d spotted me first. My heart dropped down to my stomach.

“Oh, shit.” I let out as Khalil still had his arm wrapped around my neck.

Before I could pull away Jahrein hurriedly walked over to us. He pulled me out of Khalil’s embrace.

“Ay. Chill out, main.” Khalil spat as he tried to stop Jahrein from pulling me away.

“Fuck you, nigga!” Jahrein roared as he pushed Khalil down. He was about to stomp him, but I stood in between them.

“Jahrein, stop it!” I screamed.

“Move, Raven.” he barked as he tried to go around me. I held on tightly to his Armani X-change t-shirt.

“Baby, stop!” I pleaded as Khalil rose to his feet.

“Baby? What the fuck are you doing here with this nigga?” he roared as I held onto his shirt. He was directly in my face and I thought that he might bite my nose off or something. He was enraged. “You aint got no business in here!”

“Fuck you. Bitch ass nigga!” Khalil yelled as he charged at Jahrein. Luckily, somebody grabbed him before they could clash.

Jared tried to reason with Jahrein. “Chill out, Jah. Let him make it, man.” he said as he pushed him further away from Khalil.

“Naw, fuck that!” Jah spat.

“Calm down baby.” I pleaded.

“Raven, get the fuck out of my face!”

“But baby.” I cried. He shoved me so hard that I struggled to keep my balance.

“Jah, dog you tripping. She’s pregnant.” Jared reminded him.

“Fuck that bitch, main!” my husband screamed. “Take your ass home!” he yelled at me.

My feelings were so hurt. I didn’t know what to say, so I walked off with my head hung low. The tears were flooding my eyes.

Once I made it outside the club Michelle caught up with me. “You okay?” she asked as she gave me a hug. I just broke down in her arms. I cried like never before.

“It’s okay, Raven. Shhh. Stop crying, mama.” she tried to console me as she rubbed my hair.

“What the hell is going on?” Joy asked as she approached us. “Those niggas are turning the club into World War III in there.”

“They’re still trying to fight?” Michelle asked.

“Trying? Girl, they are throwing down! Shit, they damn near ran over me. The guy that I was talking to got in the fight too.”

“What? I gotta stop him before he goes to jail.” I panicked. I tried to go back inside the club. Michelle grabbed me.

“Raven, you are tripping. You can’t stop all of those niggas. You are pregnant.” she reasoned.

“But I gotta go get my husband.” I cried.

“Chill out.” Joy said as she gave me a hug.

“Come on; let’s just get out of here.” Michelle said.

As we made our way to her car, the side door of the club swung open. “Y’all better move around beforethe laws get here!” a tall burly bouncer shouted. Out the door came Jared, Tony, Clyde, and finally Jahrein. Jah had taken his shirt off and was wearing a mean expression. He looked my way and kept on moving. I didn’t even try to say anything to him.

“He’s just pissed right now. Give him time.” Joy said as we continued on to the car. We hopped in and attempted to leave the lot. It seemed that everyone was trying to leave at the same time. We were deadlocked.
