“I’m glad to hear that.” he said into my ear as his lips brushed against it.

“Okay.”

“So, how far along are we?” he asked me as he caressed my belly.

“Four and a half months.” I gritted as I pushed his hand away.

“You still the baddest.” he said sensually into my ear. The tone of his voice had my juices flowing. The memories of the night we shared came flooding back.

I found myself giggling as he whispered sweet nothings in my ear. I loved the smell of liquor and cologne coming from his body. Still, there was a burning question in my head.

“Khalil, why do you want to fuck with me? Are you trying to get Jah back for fucking Melissa?”

“What? Where did that come from?” he asked me looking confused.

“I’ve heard that you and Jahrein were having beef over your baby mama. So, I’m assuming that this is why you want to get at me.”

Khalil let out a loud chuckle. “Are you serious?”

I nodded yes.

“Raven, baby, be for real. For one I’m a grown ass man with too much on my plate to play childish games like that. Look at you, baby girl. I mean Melissa is a cute girl, but she aint got shit on you. Yeah, I fucked with her and made a baby with her, but that is as deep as it got with us. We were never together like that. Now, I don’t know what she was telling Jahrein. I heard that she used to use my name to make him jealous. Shit, Melissa was never my woman. In fact, I had somebody when she got pregnant. She’s too much drama for me, and she still likes to chase afteryourman.”

Once again I was confused, because Jahrein had a completely different account of things. They both had reasons to lie. “So, you don’t have any issues with Jahrein?” I asked him.

“I mean, yeah, we have gotten into it before.”

“For what?”

“Well, the first time was because he approached me about you. He claimed that somebody told him that they saw you getting out of my car. I told that nigga not to come to me with that he say she say shit. He actually flexed on me. If it wouldn’t have been for Ray-Ray I would’ve murdered that nigga.”

This was news to my ears. I didn’t know that Jahrein had a clue as to who I was with that night I spent with Khalil. He never even questioned me about Khalil specifically.

“When was this?” I asked him.

“Shit, that happened a few months after our little encounter at Amir’s birthday party.”

As soon as those words left his lips I knew exactly what he was talking about. The night after Amir’s party Jahrein came home with a major attitude. He told me that he had to check some nigga, but would never reveal who the person was or why there was a problem. He was so pissed that Ray-Ray ended up having to come over to calm him down. He kept telling Jah to let that shit ride, and I was clueless until now.

“Raven, I just saw Jared coming out the restroom.” Michelle told me over the loud music. I was looking at her like “What the hell are you telling me for?”

After hearing this new info I was put at ease. So, I kept on flirting with Khalil’s fine ass. What was the harm in that?

Michelle shrugged me off and went on mingling. I had to cross my legs, because things down below were getting heated.

“Why don’t you spend the night with me?” Khalil asked me.

I blushed. “You know that I can’t do that.”

“Why not?”

“Khalil.” I lifted a brow. “You know why.”

“You think that nigga is out here giving you the same respect?”

I silently thought about that. I knew that Jahrein probably wasn’t. Still, I was held in higher regard. Iwas violating by just sitting there talking to him, Khalil knew that.

Right when I was about to respond to his question I heard, “Aw shit, my nigga Jahrein just stepped in the building.” the deejay announced.
