“Get her off of me!” she cried.

Jahrein pulled me off. “Bitch!” I seethed as I spat on her.

“You bitch ass nigga! You going to jail!” Ciara bawled.

Jahrein walked up on her, but I was pulling him by the shirt, trying to hold him back.“Stop, Jahrein.” I pleaded. I could see it in his eyes. He wanted to fuck her up, and I didn’t want to see him in jail.

That was when Amir ran over and stood in front of him. “Jah man, come on. They gon call the police if somebody haven’t already done it.” He reasoned.

“Yeah, get his bitch ass!” Ciara lashed.

“Bitch, you shut your ass up!” Amir turned and told Ciara. “You got what you deserved. Just come on, Jahrein.” He said as he pushed Jahrein back.

A few of the girls went and got their brothers for him, and he went got his niggas. Round two took place right in our front yard. It was a huge brawl that brought the whole hood out. We handled ours, and by the end of the day those hoes realized that I was gonna get out there for mine. There was no bitch in my blood.

Those crazy ass girls were not trying to let him go. It was so bad that Red had to change the phone number. Every other day Shell was feeding me some gossip about Jah and some other broad. I was starting to think that she liked telling me how I was getting played. Red had told him that he could no longer have female company or calls at her house, and he claimed that he understood. She said that if he was going to sleep in the bed with me those other chicks weren’t going to be welcome in her home. He really didn’t protest. I knew that he still had all the opportunities to see those other hoes outside the house.

Even though, Jahrein didn’t seem to mind not talking to other girls those bitches still kept calling. I knew that he had something to do with that, but sometimesbefore I could even get on their asses Red would step in and take over.

“May I speak to Jahrein?” some hood rat called and asked one night. I could’ve sworn that I heard somebody pick up the other phone in the house, but I wasn’t sure.

“Who...” was all I got a chance to say.

“Who is this?” Red interrupted.

“Melissa.”

“Hey, Melissa, baby. Look, I don’t mean no harm, but you can’t be calling here for Jahrein.”

“Are you for real, Red?”

“Dead ass. You know he got a little boy, right?”

“Yeah.”

“And you know who he got the little boy with?”

“Yeah.”

“Well, then you should understand why you can’t call here. My household got enough going on without you or anybody else adding unnecessary drama.”

“Okay.” Melissa sighed.

“Now, don’t take it personal. The only time you can call here is if you got some pampers for my grandbaby. Good day.” and she hung up.

Red set Melissa’s ass straight, but I still cussed Jah’s ass smooth the fuck out. He was a hoe and I knew that he wasn’t going to change overnight. Still, he watched me like a hawk.

I really couldn’t do shit besides go to school, and then home to my baby. Shoes and clothes was never an issue for me. So, I was still fresh daily, but was wishing for a less stressful life. I don’t know who was more stressful, Jahrein or his son. He wanted me to stay home all the time and now had live ammunition to useagainst me. I didn't understand why all those girls were tripping, because they had no clue as to how hard it was being me.

There wasn’t much that I could do with a boyfriend like Jahrein. A few months after I had Junior, he really embarrassed my ass. I had paid Shell’s older sister twenty dollars to baby-sit Junior for three hours. I just wanted to go to a football game, like the rest of the girls my age. I mean, Jahrein attended events all the time, but it was always a problem when I did.

Sometimes I felt like a lame. I hadn't really enjoyed being a teenager yet, and now had a little baby. I was out of the loop. So, I was excited to be away from home and I aint gone lie, tha niggas were looking good.

Initially, I was just trying to get out for a little fresh air, but all my friends were talking to niggas. Cuties were approaching in droves, and I gave in. It was like I'd opened Pandora's box. Once I talked to one they all came. I guess that I was fresh meat, because niggas were acting like vultures. I actually collected fifteen numbers. I can't describe the feeling, but I seemed just a tad freer.

I was strutting in my tight Guess Jeans, as if I didn’t have a care in the world. I could see the hungry gazes most guys threw my way. I gobbled that attention up. Right when I was getting my flirt on with this cutie, I felt someone pull my hair.

“Why the fuck you aint at home with my baby?” Jahrein seethed. As soon as he stepped on the scene the guy that I was entertaining disappeared. Jahrein intimidated most dudes his age. He didn’t scare me, but I was flabbergasted. How did he know exactly where to find me? I hadn’t even told Red where I was headed.
