We headed to the clubhouse for the meeting. I probably should have had them come here, or somewhere else just in case. I didn’t think Beast would come since he’d been MIA lately. He liked to pop up from time to time, but he didn’t stay around for too long. I should have picked up on him being on some bullshit by the way he kept disappearing.

I stood and walked over to her. “You look good.” I kissed her lips. “Smell good too,” I said as I inhaled her scent.

“Thank you,” she said as her cheeks reddened.

“You ready for this?”

We weren’t doing much today but talking, but I wanted to ensure she was in the right headspace. We also were going to tell everyone that we were together. Well, not everyone, but the people that were going to be there. Everyone else would find out whenever. Only the people that were important to me would know. I wanted them to understand her place in my life so they’d know to look out for her in my absence.

“I’m ready. I’ll be glad when it’s over.”

“Me too. And when it is, you and I are going on a trip, so think about where you want to go.”

Her eyes lit up while she shimmied. “Ooh, I can’t wait.”

I chuckled, then led her toward the kitchen so we could leave from the garage.

We were riding my bike, and that was the last place I parked it. I would never look at my bike the same again since I’d fucked her on it.

I helped her onto the bike and passed her the helmet, before I got on and started it.

When we exited the garage, I lowered it, then pulled off.

Munch held on to me as we rode the streets toward the clubhouse. I loved having her on the back of my bike. It didn’t matter that we were getting ready to make plans to kill a person; she made me feel warm inside.

It didn’t take long for us to arrive at the clubhouse. I could tell that everyone that needed to be there was there based on the bikes that were parked in the front. I helped Munch off, then held her hand so we could go inside.

Everyone looked up when we walked in.

“Don’t stop talking now,” I joked as I locked the door.

The word was spread that the clubhouse was closed for the moment, but that didn’t stop people from trying to come by. And I was sure there was somebody who missed the memo, especially the random people that liked to come by for drinks.

“Damn, Raina. My feelings are hurt,” Tay said with his hand over his heart as he looked at our intertwined hands.

Munch giggled next to me. “Sorry, he got to me first.”

I looked down at her and squinted my eyes. “Oh, you would have messed with him if he’d said something first?”

She shrugged, then giggled.

“Yeah, aight.” I kissed her temple. “You were always going to be mine.” I pulled her into my side and wrapped my arm around her waist.

“Aww, aren’t y’all cute.” Isis cooed from her seat.

I led Munch over to the table and pulled her chair out.

“Is the world ending?” Slider asked. “This nigga pulling out chairs and shit. What is happening?” He laughed, and everyone joined in.

“I have to be a gentleman for my lady.”

Slider slapped my hand. “That’s what’s up.”

Tech and Rico slapped my hand when I walked over to them.

“I like this new, happy you,” Caramel added.

The only people I fully trusted were Tech, Rico, Slider, Caramel, Isis, Tay, and Lamont, and they were the only people I asked to be in attendance for this meeting. There were other members of the club that I kind of trusted, but these seven people I knew without a shadow of a doubt that whatever popped off, they would have mine and Munch’s back.
