Rameek rubbed his hand over his head, then leaned forward.

“I can’t say for certain, but I found out who killed Animal. It was one of the Vipers, and if Kane finds out, it’s going to be a war.”

I gasped and put my hand over my mouth when the video suddenly ended. If what my brother said was true, I needed to tell Kane. I needed to put my trust in him and that he would take care of it. He was going to lose his shit, and I was afraid of what may happen once it was revealed. I took the flash drive out of the computer and put it in my drawer.

I called him, and he answered on the first ring.

“What’s good, Munch?”

“Um, are you at the clubhouse?” I assumed he was because of how noisy it was, but he also could have been at his shop.

“Yeah, what’s wrong?” I could hear him moving around, then his background got quiet.

“I rather talk in person. I’ll be there soon.”

“Okay. I’ll be waiting for you.”

When I hung up the phone, I put my shoes on and left the house. I wanted to bring the flash drive, but I needed to hold on to it for a little longer, just in case there was something else on there.

The shit was getting ready to hit the fan, and it made me nervous.

I was at the clubhouse when Munch called, and the tone in her voice had me on edge. Something was wrong, and I couldn’t begin to think what it could have been.

As soon as we hung up the phone, I got up and headed outside to wait for her, when Tech stopped me.

“You good?”

Since I wasn’t sure of what she had to tell me, I lied.

“I’m good. Munch about to come through, so I’m going outside to wait for her.”

“Ohh, Munch coming through,” Slider joked.

I gave him the finger and chuckled. I walked outside and paced. A million things went through my head while I waited for her. Was she going to tell me she was pregnant? But there wasno way she could know that soon. Was she going to tell me she didn’t want to fuck with me anymore? Or maybe she had some information on her brother. I didn’t know what it was, and I couldn’t wait until she arrived.

The minute her little red car pulled into the parking spot, I was at the door before she could even put it in park.

Before she could turn the car off, I opened her door.

I reached in and helped her out, then closed the door. I leaned against the car because I wanted to hear what she had to say before we went inside.

“Hey,” she said as she looked down at the ground.

I lifted her chin and placed a soft kiss on her lips. I was anxious, but I still had to get a quick kiss.

“What’s going on?”

She looked around the parking lot and bit her bottom lip. I pulled her close and snaked my arms around her waist.

“Whatever it is, just tell me. I need to know how to move accordingly.”

She chewed the shit out of her bottom lip, and it made my heart speed up. She was nervous about something, but this wasn’t an average nervous. It seemed like she was spooked by something.

“So you know how I’ve been trying to find out what happened to my brother?” I nodded so she could continue. “Well, I found a flash drive, and he said something on there, but I don’t have the full truth yet.”

“What did he say, Raina?”

“He said . . . he said that one of the Vipers killed your father.”
