"Ooh, I have a recipe for spooky pizza too. Should we make that?" I asked my viewers. I got no response from Micah or Rem, but Therese texted back about ten minutes later.

Sure, babe! I'll be over soon. Sounds fun!

It felt entirely too enthusiastic, considering what she’d done to me, and how our last interaction went, but Constantine had said her spell was broken. I could save her. The doorbell rang sometime later, and I waved to the camera, promising to return. Like she always had, Therese barged into my house, bursting with energy.

"It's been so crazy! You know Micah was attacked, right? Ugh, and Rem is on this whole 'everyone's out to get us' bullshit.”

I led her to the kitchen, relieved to have my friend back.

"So, this is your setup? Are you live right now?" she asked, looking at my phone attached to the ring light. I nodded and waved.

"I am. Say hello!"

She frowned and then waved. "Hello."

I laughed and reached for her wrist, tugging her forward.

"It's fine! They'll love you. Come closer." We got right up in the camera and responded to the comments for a while, and slowly, Therese started to relax.

"You said something about homemade pizza?"

"Yes!" I turned to my cupboards, gathering the dry items for the dough. I spun around, my arms full of flower and cornmeal, and froze. "What are you doing?" Therese held a large knife, while glaring daggers at me.

"I know the truth."

"What truth?" My eyes flicked to my phone, which was going crazy with pings. The screen was facing her, not me. Everyone watching my live could see her brandishing the knife.

"That you were one of them. Those dirty kids from that church in the woods. My dad told me. I came here to confront you the other day, but I saw all the flowers and presents you had unopened everywhere and lost it. I destroyed all your teapots, like you destroyed my friends. You can kill them, Eisley, but I’m not going down that easily.”

"Therese, you're scaring me. I didn’t hurt anyone.”

"Ha!" She threw her head back and howled. Still gripping the knife, she lunged for me. I screamed and dropped my arms. I ducked out of the way in time, and then she tried again, coming for me. I was trapped against the fridge and the wall.

“You’re trying to make me look like the crazy one, but it’s you that’s crazy!” She screamed.

I jerked my arm up and caught her wrist. I began to shake it violently, and the knife flew across the room.

“Don’t use that word.”

I shoved her back and she hit her head on the island countertop, dropping instantly. Realizing my live was still going, I ran to it. My viewers were frantically telling me to call authorities, and some said they already had.

I wasn't sure how to respond, but I didn't have any time because a booming knock came from my front door. I could see flashing blue and red lights from the window. Then, I turned back to the kitchen, where Therese was still unconscious and there was a knife on the floor between us.

Fuck.

Rule 79 - Constantine

Have confidence in your partner’s abilities.

Ipulled into Eisley’s drive after finally catching Micah alone and finishing the job. A swift jab in the chest was all he needed. I didn't have time for his running games. Or the patience. It’d taken some time to catch the fucker, as he’d spent most of his time on his porch getting high, but eventually, he went inside alone, only to be greeted by me in my mask with my knife.

As soon as I saw the sirens, I knew something had gone wrong. Naturally. There was never a time when police meant good things were going on. But still, I had to remain calm. I pulled into her drive and walked up the steps of her porch, finding the door open.

"Is everything alright?" I called loudly.

"It's fine!" Eisley sniffled loudly from the kitchen. I went in that direction and found her sitting on a stool, with two officers standing like a wall in front of her.

"What happened?"
