She tried to glare at me.
Hell, she even tried to lunge for me.
But Khal was there.
He wrapped his hand in her hair and yanked her back.
I looked up at him and asked, “You care if I just tell everyone you're my big brother?”
He chuckled, “Works for me, lil sis.”
Nuke looked at me and lifted a brow.
I looked back at him and mimicked his lifted brow.
He chuckled, “You cool with this?”
I shrugged. “Works for me. She’s always been a bitch to me.”
Kourt started shouting.
Wolf growled, pulled a red shop rag out of his back pocket, and shoved it in her mouth.
It was quiet except for the music that was playing.
Just then, a group of women moved in our direction, and I stared as people moved out of their way.
I recognized Tempie and Agatha, but the others... I didn’t know.
Tempie winked, then said, “Ophelia is Saint’s. And so is Soraya. Nola is Xander’s. And Agatha is Merlin’s sister, whom you’ve already met.”
Agatha stepped forward and said, “So, I hear you're my niece.”
I smiled, “So, I hear you’re my aunt.”
She cackled.
Then I introduced myself, and just like it was with Grey, I fit.
I fit in so well that I couldn’t remember ever not fitting in with them.
Sure, Agatha and Tempie were older.
And so was Ophelia. But Nola and I were the same age.
But I adored Nola more when she leaned in and asked, “So... where do you shop?”
***
“You going to get in the ring?” I asked.
He nodded, “You going to kiss my boo-boos?”
I winked, “With glee.”
His eyes darkened.
I moaned.
