I should’ve understood that part faster.

“That’s why they have safewords too.” I shook my head and sighed as his face went kind of stiff and scrunched up. “I get it now. But you can tell me more about it later. Right now, I need to know if you want to safeword about the bears.”

I could be patient.

Well, sometimes I could be patient.

Master nodded slowly but he didn’t need long to think. “Yes, I understand I can safeword about the bears but I don’t need to.”

Hmm.

I gave him his raised eyebrow look and tried to channel a slightly suspicious Leashes & Lace model.

He sighed.

I’d done it right.

“I’m not sure I appreciate that look being aimed at me.” We both knew that meant I’d done it right, so I shrugged and he kept complaining. “It’s just not right on my pretty boy.”

“Then be a good Dom and communicate with your pretty boy.” I needed to take care of my Master and sometimes that was going to mean pretending to be him. “I’ll be patient if you need to think.”

That was what he’d do too.

His groan said he knew I was right and that I’d done a good job.

“Fine. I might’ve been a bit worried about how you’d see them.” He paused before reaching down and bringing a cute little polar bear to sit on my lap. “I might’ve bought them after the last guy I dated saw them online and said they were creepy.”

Oh.

What would my Master say to me in this situation?

“Do we buy things or try things out of spite?” We both knew the answer, but I waited quietly until he shook his head. “I’m glad we understand that. Now, think about this, please. Do you like the bears?”

No matter what they did.

Eventually I’d have to figure that out.

Chapter 12

Leonardo

“You are a very cute Dom doll.” He was definitely channeling someone else, but I appreciated the effort.

“Thank you.” He did a cute imperial-looking nod and kept his adorably serious expression on his face. “I don’t know what kind of outfit that would need, but it’s not my decision.”

It was mine.

Because I was the Dom and it was time to remember that part.

“I’ll figure it out.” Petting the head of the deceptively innocent-looking bear, I did my best to answer the question. “Yes. I like the idea of playing with the stuffed animals. I didn’t explore them originally because they seem like a niche way to play, but once my ex pointed them out, I thought they’d be fun.”

And I wasn’t going to let someone else tell me what I could play with and what I couldn’t.

“I’m glad you found something that you think is fun.” My pretty boy was trying to stay focused on me, but his gaze kept dropping down to the polar bear. “Can you explain why you think it’s fun? I’m very curious to learn more about you.”

He was so cute.

“Turn him over.” I thought it would’ve been obvious but it seemed like he hadn’t fallen down that side of the internet yet.
