“Oh, Webber you can’t snap at me and then not say anything to me,” Nova said. “You can say sorry by giving me the tea.”

I scoffed.

“That’s extortion,” I growled as she laughed.

“Hey, I’m not the one in trouble here,” she chuckled.

I stayed quiet, debating if I really wanted to tell her.

“Ok, fine. I won’t make you tell me, but your options are really not that great,” she said. “It’s either Forest, Jude or the fire department, but that means maybe seeing Jude because he might be working today.”

“Fuck, fine. Forest and I had a one-night stand in January,” I said quickly. “We met at the Boozy Bandit and I thought he was just passing through. I think Jude and him are dating and he got mad when he found out we slept with each other.”

I was met with silence when I expected her to say something immediately or maybe even shout.

“Nova? Are you still there?”

“Uh, yeah,” she said, sounding shocked. “I just didn’t expect that to come out of your mouth.”

“It’s fucking crazy and I don’t know what to do, but Forest seems like the least worst option, but if they are dating it might be the worst option,” I said, covering my face.

After last night the only thing that made sense was that they were dating, but Forest didn’t go after Jude like a boyfriend would. This is why I proceeded to drink too much last night. Nothing made sense.

“Well, I don’t think they are dating, I have no idea what's going on there, but what's the worst that could happen?” she said. “He says no and we call the fire department, hoping that Jude isn’t working.”

“Ok, call him,” I said before I chickened out and told her no.

“Ok, I’ll let you know what happens.”

I couldn’t believe this was my fucking life. Who the hell falls and can’t get back up? Jesus Christ I was the real-life Humpty Dumpty. I looked through social media waiting for Nova’s call when someone knocked on my door, making me freeze.

What if it was Jude? Wait, he didn’t know where I was staying, unless Nova called him anyways. Fuck, if she did tell him, I was going to be pissed.

Another knock sounded.

“Who is it?!” I yelled.

“Forest.”

Disappointment and excitement hit me.

“It’s open!” I yelled.

The door opened and closed as I craned my neck to look at him. Forest was in his cowboy get-up: dirty jeans, scuffed up boots, a white t-shirt, and a backwards hat. Fuck me, he was gorgeous, maybe even more gorgeous than I remembered him.

“Looks like ya got yourself a dilemma, Peaches.” His southern drawl made him even sexier.

He stood before me with his hands on his hips and a smirk on his face. I scowled at him.

“You going to help me or not?” I snapped.

“That’s not the way you ask,” he tsked.

I glared at him as he looked down at me with that BDE he had to go along with the actual big dick he had. My cock twitched remembering the night we had together, the night I couldn’t forget and often thought about when I had to rub one out.

“I’m waiting,” he grinned.

“Forest, cut the crap and help me please,” I snapped.
