“I want…” Nolan began, and then trailed off, unsure how to finish that sentence. Whatdidhe want?
He wanted Finn close. He wanted to kiss him again.
The weight of Finn’s hands against his body was nice, too. More of that could have been good.
Maybe Finn’s fingertips against his bare skin, touching him like he’d touched himself a thousand times. Running over unexplored territory, making Nolan gasp and squirm in ways he’d never managed for himself, because it’d bedifferentwith someone else. He knew it would be.
“Take your time,” Finn murmured. “Not going anywhere. Unless you tell me to.”
“I want…” Nolan repeated, fiddling with the hem of Finn’s t-shirt again. With a surge of bravery, he slipped the tips of his fingers under it, pushing it up just far enough to make contact with the skin above the waistband of Finn’s jeans.
The gasp he got in response echoed in his head, trailing down his spine and settling in the pit of his stomach. He could makeFinngasp. This was a two-way street.
“Is this okay?” he asked, just barely running his fingers along the edge of Finn’s waistband, a rush of lust flooding his stomach as he imagined flicking open the button his thumb was brushing over. This didn’t need to be abouthim.
And if it wasn’t about him, it wasn’t nearly as scary.
“Perfect,” Finn murmured, breathless. He was enjoying this.
He was enjoying Nolan touching him.
Wow.
A grin spread across Nolan’s face at the thought. What else could he do to Finn? How good could he make this for him?
“Can I?” Nolan asked, thumbing the top button of Finn’s fly again and glancing up under his eyelashes.
The sound of Finn wetting his lips told him everything he needed to know. The tension hanging in the air between them was maybe the hottest thing Nolan had ever experienced, the moment of anticipation before everything changed. Before they made the next move.
How long had he been waiting for this?
“Go for it,” Finn said, his voice just a little lower than it had been.
Nolan flicked the button open, blood rushing in his ears. This wasit.
A laugh escaped him as he toyed with the elastic of Finn’s boxer-briefs, joy welling up in his chest.
Yeah. He couldabsolutelydo this.
“Dunno if I should be insulted,” Finn said, though he didn’t really sound like he was.
“I’m not laughing at you.” Nolan looked up to double-check that Finn reallywasn’tinsulted.
“I know,” Finn smiled a small, warm smile at him. “It’s good to hear. You enjoying yourself, I mean. You’ve been surprisingly brave so far.”
“Really?” Nolan asked, surprised.
“You invited me back here, for a start. Big move. I was still terrified of doing that.”
Nolan bit his lip, hooking his fingers through Finn’s front belt loops. “I want you here,” he said. “I’m sorry I’m being so awkward.”
“What did Ijustsay?” Finn asked, raising an eyebrow.
“I know,” Nolan said. “You said I was being brave.”
“Because youare. And I’m honored that I’m here with you.”
“This will come as a shock,” Nolan said. “But I don’t exactly have guys lining up to jump at the chance to come home with me.”
