He just also wished he’d been fast enough to record it for posterity. Seth giggling was a great sound, and definitely something he would have gotten a lot of entertainment out of later.

He’d just have to make Seth giggle more often.

They had time now. They had all the time in the world, and Oz was going to make the most of every second. Starting right now.

The moment Oz sat down beside him, Seth kicked his shoes off and curled up next to him, resting his head on Oz’s shoulder. “This was the right decision,” he said softly.

“Good.” Oz turned his head to nuzzle Seth’s hair, pressing a soft kiss into the top of his head. His heart swelled in his chest, the knowledge that they could keep doing this finally settling in.

Seth was staying. That was all Oz had wanted.

They could figure everything else out between them. As long as they started with what would make them happy, nothing else mattered.

“I’m glad you don’t want me for my money, because I probably only have a few hundred dollars to my name right now.”

“I can afford to keep you,” Oz murmured. He’d known that when he first told Seth he could stay. “And I can help you figure out what you want to do, if you want to do something. But no pressure.”

“You’re too good for me,” Seth said, shuffling a tiny bit closer. Oz could tell he was falling asleep, so he paused in trying to order a pizza one-handed on his phone. Sleep was probably more important than food right now.

“I’m lucky to have you,” Oz responded. “No one is too good for you. You deserve the sun, the moon, and the stars.”

“I’m happy with what I have.” Seth shifted again, yawning widely. “For the first time in my life.”

Oz smiled at that. All he wanted was for Seth to be happy. It was nice to know that he had some part in that happiness.

Oz closed his eyes as well, promising himself it was just for a minute. After all the stress of the day, a nap on the couch with Seth leaning against him was the best thing he could imagine.

Chapter Twenty-Eight

“Are you awake?” Seth murmured, kissing the soft skin of Oz’s belly as he waited for a response, breathing in his scent.

It had been nice to wake up in Oz’s bed again. Especially knowing that he could keep doing that for the foreseeable future.

The more Seth thought about it, the surer he was that he’d made the right decision. He hadn’t slept as well as he had last night in a long, long time.

This was peace. Even if the price of peace was his half of a billion-dollar company, it was worth it. A life of misery for the sake of keeping his share of a family legacy he’d never wanted wasn’t a fair trade.

Getting Oz in exchange for giving it up wasn’t a fair trade, either, but it went in his favor, so Seth wasn’t about to complain. He was just glad he’d come to his senses.

“Kinda,” Oz said, his voice sleep-rough and soft. Seth smiled a slow smile and shuffled a little further down the bed.

He extended his tongue to lap at the head of Oz’s cock, closing his eyes to savor the taste. Oz hissed, his hips jerking in his half-awake state. One of Oz’s hands tangled through Seth’s hair, the other landed on his shoulder, squeezing firmly.

Seth chuckled. “Like that?”

“A lot.”

Humming, Seth lapped at the head of Oz’s cock again, licking precome away as it threatened to drip down. They’d both been too tired for sex last night, so Seth figured they had a little catching up to do.

“I could get used to waking up like this,” Oz murmured, easing his grip on Seth’s hair.

“You could,” Seth agreed, licking a stripe up Oz’s cock. “As long as you stay in my good books.”

“Is that hard?” Oz asked.

“For you?” Seth looked up at him. “Not even a little.”
