“Melanie will be escorted to Taurus in three days, and both your people and ours will oversee the wedding ceremony to ensure it’s done respecting both your customs.”

My bride snorted before looking away.

Three days felt like an eternity. Why could I not take her back with us today? Three days and that female would be mine. I took back everything I ever said and thought before.

I’d happily fuck her until my sack was empty and all of my seed was filling her womb.

If he hoped for a virgin bride, he would be highly disappointed

Melanie

The feeling of his strong hand around my forearm still tingled.

There had to be something wrong with me; why was that green hulk of a man making me feel weak in the knees? His pupils had expanded in his eyes until almost all the green-ish yellow disappeared the second I entered. And his posture? He had looked angry, but then, I wasn’t sure if he became straight out hostile because of me or if I was missing something.

He looked more human than I thought he would—or at least, more human than one of the other aliens sitting at the table. He was just—green. Tall. Broad. Andhorned. His ears were pointy and I wasn’t standing close enough to confirm, but they looked kinda velvety.

“Three days?” I croaked, fighting the urge to scratch at the place they had inserted the translator behind my ear when my future husband frowned at the motion of my reaching hand.

Said frown deepened when Maxwell confirmed

The green alien didn’t look too happy about it.

He probably wasn’t excited about the whole situation. Why would he? I probably looked a far cry from the females of his kind…Why else would he try to find issues where there weren’t any? First complaining about my boobs that looked like I already had a child, then implying I was damaged goods? Kinda rude.

“We need to start assessing the results by the end of the year to move on with the next phase,” Maxwell explained. “The quicker we start this one, the quicker we’ll know if this solution is viable and expand the program to populate each planet with willing women.”

Willing. I snorted. Abducted and blackmailed was a more accurate way to say it.

“We’re hoping to launch the inter-galactic bridal program in five years, at the latest.”

“Am I not part of this…program?”

He let out a dry chuckle that seemed to get the attention of all the aliens in the room. “Oh, no. You’re—let’s say the Beta run of it.”Great.“We Alpha-tested it in-vitro and now we’re moving with live subjects to test for compatibility in the long run.”

So, if these male turned out to be violent and human-eaters, at least only twelve women would be sacrificed. Awesome news. I would need to survive a whole year without being eaten. And hopefully not get pregnant so I could fuck off right after the one year mark.

But I couldn’t be if he didn’t fuck me, right? The hostile-looking posture he had maintained since I showed up made me think I might have a chance in that department.Maybe he’d even let me live in peace somewhere until the time was up…

“Oh, I almost forgot!” Maxwell said, clapping his hand joyfully. The strange golden alien jumped in surprise, his whole body tensing like a cat readying to attack. Maxwell winced and lifted his hands in apology before focusing back on my future husband. “Sir Ghauro, did you bring the ceremony attire for your bride to wear?”

His eyes landed on me again, going down then up my frame in slow motion, like taking notice of every inch and curve of my body. His throat rumbled and mine dried out under his assessing gaze.

“Yes.”

My future husband didn’t even have to turn around before another male—similar to him in shape but with a different, more brownish coloring and ginger hair—stepped forward. He unhooked a linen pouch from his belt to hand it to the old man who peeked inside it.

“Erm…does it come with instructions?” Maxwell asked.

I wished Ghauro stopped staring at me. I wishIcould turn my face away. “My sister is waiting to be processed by your facilities,” he said, turning to Maxwell. I could finally breathe again, but the air left my lungs again when my eyes drifted south, to his bare chest.Damn, my future husband is rigged. “She will be the one to escort—Melanieto the ceremony and help her get ready.” The way he said my name sent chills down my spine. “She is to stay with her at all times until we are mated.”

Maxwell let out an embarrassed sound. “I’m afraid it’s impossible. Melanie is staying in a special, high security wing. Single room and no visitors allowed.”

I was about to argue when Ghauro beat me to it, his tone turning clipped and deeper. “Make it happen or she is leaving with me. Today.”

Maxwell’s eyes widened and the other humans in the room shifted on their legs, sensing the tension rising.
