“Oh, really?” Flora asked, finding herself leaning into him.
“Yup, she was feeling up on me, loving and licking me, too,” Dylan said, tracing his hands where her panther must have licked him. Flora wasn’t sure if she should take him seriously or not with the joking tone he was using. Playing along, she decided to turn the tables on him.
“Would you like it ifI did that?”
“Technically, you did,” Dylan’s smirk irked her. He normally blushed at her sexual tactics, not served it back to her. The mental image of her licking Dylan’s body caused heat to pool inside her for the second time that day. Changing the subject, Flora cleared her throat before responding.
“Anyways, shifting is not allowed in the building.”
“Then why is this here?” Dylan asked, turning to look at the jungle gym. For a fake tree, it was pretty realistic.
“Because when I amalone, I break the rules,” Flora said, tapping her fingernails on the arm of her chair.
“Such a bad girl,” Dylan tsked.
“Only for you, Dylan,” Flora winked, adjusting the thin straps of her top, an unconscious habit of hers.
“Do you have time to shift?”
“Dylan, no.”
“Flora...” Dylan sang, finally relaxing into his chair with his sketchpad lying in his lap.
Willow popped into Flora's office; her head full of auburn curls. “Don’t forget your meeting at three today with the production factory.”
“That’s why I love you, Willow. What would I do without you?”
“Crumble, perish, maybe miss your production meeting, who knows,” Dylan answered.
Willow giggled as she entered the office, sitting next to Dylan in front of Flora’s desk.
“I don’t think Cassandra or Romeo would let you miss their meeting,” Willow said, closing her iPad and pushing her glasses up.
“Cassandra and Romeo?” Dylan asked.
“Be careful who you mention around Dylan,” Flora joked her gaze meeting his, “He might start thinking they’re my attackers.”
“Wait, what?” Willow exclaimed, straightening her back. “Did you ever think I was the attacker?” she asked Dylan.
“Yes, anyone could be the attacker. Most commonly it's someone the victim knows,” Dylan nonchalantly said.
“What changed your mind that it wasn’t me?” Willow asked, leaning against the arm of her chair, more curious than offended.
“You're too smart; this person attacked in broad daylight while she was with me,” Dylan simply said, tapping his fingers on the desk. Flora noticed his habit was similar to hers. Chuckling, she looked away, newly interested in the painting of a pond in a jungle hanging on the wall.
“Well, thank you,” Willow said, a smile covering her face as she looks away trying to cover her face with her hair.
“That’s no surprise; Willow’s too smart to be caught doing something dumb like that,” Flora teased her friend.
Though if Willow for some reason wanted to kidnap or attack someone, that someone would be in a world of trouble. With Willow physically and mentally strong, Flora was sure her animal was, too. Add passion and intelligence to the top of the Willow cake and that was one badass mix.
“Okay, okay guys. I’m outta here,” Willow said, making her way out of the office.
"Love you!" Flora shouted before the door closed behind Willow.
Turning her attention back to her computer, she sighed, setting up her camera for the next meeting. Being all the way in Moonlight City, a good three hours away, meetings with the production team were mostly held online.
“Dylan, can you bring my ring light over?” Flora asked, pointing to it across the room.
