“No, me either.” I chuckled. “I’ve gotten enough skin scraped off by sand in my time. I certainly don’t want it to be that part of me.”

“I’m keeping mine on, too.” Kyle eyed the boards. “Now, who gets to use them first?”

I handed one to Kyle and the other to Falkan, and we all ran for the waves rolling in to the beach. Just big enough for good rides but not rough enough to be dangerous. A couple of hours later, we splashed out of the water and up to where our lunch waited. I plopped down on the blanket so the others would have the chairs, and we ate every crumb of the food Falkan and I prepared before stripping off our trunks to shift and enjoy our other sides. With our dragon overhead, Kyle and I raced up and down the sand while the others who were there watched our antics. Lots of smiles, some laughter, but not one bullying comment—because why would there be? Our mate was handsome in either form, and those who had treated him badly for being different were just jealous.

Finally, we shifted back and all landed on the blanket for a rest. The sun was lowering in the sky, and we’d be leaving soon. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect end to the day until Kyle said, “Take me home and make me yours.”

And then…I knew what perfection truly was.

Chapter Twelve

Falkan

Finally, our wolf declared himself. He was ours, and we were his.

“Take me home and make me yours,” were the most beautiful words I’d ever heard.

Home was where, though? There were three of us here with individual sleeping spaces, although two of us were temporary.

Griffith’s bed was comfy but small.

“How about my suite? My bed’s a king,” I offered.

“Good idea,” Griffith said.

Kyle nodded.

We got into Griffith’s car, feet sandy, hair windblown from our picnic on the beach.

When we got to my suite, Kyle put his arms around my waist and Griffith’s. He kissed us both then tried to lead us to my bed.

“I’ve got to shower off the sand first,” I said sadly.

He turned toward the bathroom. “Let’s go.”

“All of us?” Griffith asked.

Kyle nodded mischievously.

“I’m not sure the shower’s big enough,” I protested.

“We’ll see,” Kyle said.

It was a fancy deal with two spigots. I’d already used it every day that I was here. It had a glass door and tile that mimicked real rock. When I opened the door, Kyle reached in and turned on the water. I looked to make sure we had enough towels. The hotel staff had been generous, so I grabbed a stack from the shelves over the sink and set them on the counter.

“We’ll fit if we squeeze.” Kyle sounded excited. I was so pleased he was ours now. And we had all night to verify it.

Squeezing in with both Kyle and Griffith naked beside me seemed like no hardship at all. Hurriedly, I pulled off my shirt and kicked off my shoes.

Griffith’s elbows banged into me as he quickly disrobed. Kyle stood between us, gazing as we got naked, but still fully clothed.

“Hey, no fair.” I reached out to touch his shirt.

“I can’t look away. You’re both so handsome.”

“You can look all you want with your clothes off,” I admonished.

“That’s fair.” He grinned and yanked at the hem of his shirt.
