He touched her again. She was guessing it was on purpose.

“You are so beautiful,” he told her.

“Promise you won’t get mad if . . . if things go badly,” she blurted out.

Way to ruin the mood, Angie.

“I will not get angry with you about anything. I can be in the middle of coming and you tell me to stop and I will.”

She eyed him skeptically. “Is that even possible?”

“It is for me.”

Good Lord.

His arrogance was unbelievable.

But also was super hot. Something she’d never tell him, of course.

His ego was already out of control.

Jared turned her around to dry her back and she stared at herself in the mirror.

See what she meant?

Bossy and arrogant.

He threw the towel away and grasped hold of her waist.

Good Lord.

She tried to get out of his arms to grab it and put it on the towel rail. But he tightened his hold on her.

“What’s wrong?”

“You dropped your towel on the floor. I’ll pick it up.”

“Leave it. You aren’t my cleaner or here to tidy up after me.”

He rubbed her stomach, then moved his hand down further. “Do you have any more limits to tell me?”

“No, none,” she said hastily.

He turned her to face him, cupping her face between his big hands. “I want the truth. The very last thing I want is for you to keep something from me and then I hurt you. Physically or emotionally. This sort of relationship only works well when you communicate with me what your needs are. And I will do the same for you. Same with North.”

She glanced over to find North leaning against the doorway, studying her.
