She’d sworn that she’d never go near a Bartolli again.

But this was Jared.

She hadn’t stopped thinking about him, wanting him. He could be so cold and arrogant.

And then warm and protective.

And now it was North too. Her robot man. Her kidnapper.

The man she couldn’t stop thinking about.

However, where was he? Had he changed his mind?

“Where is North?”

“I’m here.”

She gasped, glancing over at the doorway. “Haven’t you heard of knocking?”

North just raised an eyebrow. “That’s not how I thought you’d greet the man bringing you coffee.”

“Coffee! Gimme!” She held out her hands.

“You drink too much coffee,” Jared stated as she took the mug and sipped it, sighing in happiness.

“I do not. Take that back. It’s blasphemy.”

“I don’t think that’s what blasphemy is, baby girl,” Jared told her as he took the other mug that North held out to him. But instead of taking a sip, he set it aside and then stood, wrapping his hand around the back of North’s head and drawing him in for a hot, sexy kiss.

She swallowed another mouthful in an attempt to stop herself from throwing herself at them.

It was hard.

Very, very hard.

Much like something else. Her gaze dropped to Jared’s cock. North was fully dressed so it was harder to tell if he was turned on.

But how could he not be?

Then Jared slid behind North, turning the other man to face her.

“Our girl has agreed to stay with us,” Jared said.

North nodded. “Good.”

“Did you get up early?” she asked, feeling shy.

“I don’t sleep well with others,” North told her. “I prefer my own space. So I left you guys to it last night.”

“I didn’t scare you off?”

He stared down at her arrogantly. “I don’t scare off that easily. Unlike you. You ran off on us again last night.”

“I know. I’m sorry. I’ll try not to do that again. I was . . . I’ve always been scared of being rejected. It seems my whole life no one has wanted me so it’s my default setting.”

Jared moved to her, crouching down to cup her face between his hands. “Then we need to change that default setting, don’t we?”

She nodded.
